Wait so you unlock patterns while leveling with characters ? I guess I'm gonna play my favourite character : random.
I'm sick of doing Arcade/Time/Survival...

I believe character themes are unlocked at random character levels. However, it seems like they unlock in a set order. It will always be the character’s theme from DOA5/4, then 3, then 2, then 1.

So... if I want to unlock a character's theme I'm forced to use them an obscene amount on or offline?

Yes, the song is in the game. Just level up Leifang around 3 and it should unlock.

I know there are no themes from DOA5 at all (to avoid any confusion between DOA5's and DOA6's identity I guess). That's a shame. The soundtrack was not that bad.. well not that good either..

Besides the ones that are not playable (Gen-Fu, Leon, Ein, Momiji, etc.), the only one missing is Zack's DOA1 PS1 theme, Gonna Make You Gasp (probably for obvious reasons).

Bingo on bolded. Strange that I just unlocked Grand Style for Leifang but not Mayflower.

I seriously doubt there's any censorship issues going on with Zack's theme, guys. Zany Zapper has a bunch of moaning in it, too. It's probably a licensing thing or them being dumb. Seeing the state of the game, it's probably dumbness.

Exactly !!! It's annoying as hell. Random costume points when it should be focused on the character you were playing as and music should be unlocked randomly when playing the game . That seems fair . Like you would gain a soundtrack every time you clear an arcade mode og time attack. Or you play online, every second match would unlock you a random track !

Not really. Zany Zapper doesn't have any moans that was considered as sexual in its entirely before loop. Gonna Make You Gasp, however, does as it sounds like porn music. I'm surprised out of the entire discussion of DOA's known exposure is fanservice/sexuality, TN got away with no mentioning of this theme which was a bit controversial.
