Or we can just stop with this creepy obsession over the size of the female characters' breasts. Think about it, "outrage" over the female characters' chests not being big enough. @__@
Or just open a dedicated thread for it and spare everyone else.



Okay, you people got to be kidding at this point. XD

Seriously, in one image Kasumi's upper body is facing us, in the other we see it in profile. Let me tell you as an artist, who has drawn female bodies from all sorts of angles, who drew them from actual female models in front of him: From some angles breasts seem more pronounced than in others. Breasts in profile break out of the character outline and seem bigger, breasts seen from the front don't break out of the character outline and thus seem smaller.
That is the reason why the two pictures that sparked the specualtion of bigger breasts both showed Helena and Kasumi from the side.

Last but not least, the image used in that comparison is not a new, Japanese version, it too was part of the batch of E3 reveal pictures:

We long knew this image, and everyone was still complaining the breasts were too small. Now people have looked a little closer at the old footage and suddenly Kasumi's chest is big enough, thus this must be a new, Japanese version. @__@

Can I just say I LOVE this image? The quality is amazing and Kasumi looks fine af

The graphics are fucking sick tbh, will blow out Tekken 7 & even SC6 easily by the looks of things :cool:

That was foreseeable however. Dead or Alive was always ahead of Tekken and Soul Calibur graphically (SC tended to be close though, its vibrant fantasy look helped it a lot), especially what character models are concerned. Team Ninja is infamous for their almost wasteful modelling. When other developers rendered clothing seams as textures in the last generation, Team Ninja fully modelled them, wasting thousands of polygons. Some DOA5 models range from 60k to 90k polygons. That is 2, up to 3 times the polycount of a TTT2 or SC5 model. Even Tekken 7 and Soul Calibur 6 are in that regard really disappointing and imo not of current generation standard.

Soul Calibur 6 imo looks worse than Tekken 7 even. While its stages are pretty (yet mostly unimaginative and boring for a Soul Calibur game), the character models are even of lower quality than in Tekken 7. T7's character models were at least mostly created new from scratch, even though still often polygon-starved, in SC6 they however literally reused 10 year old base character models on which you can count the polygons by just looking at them. That's really not up to par in this day and age. We are at the end of this generation. Wait till you guys see the hands and feet directly on your TVs. The characters' toes are literally just cuboids.

Fuck yeah! The 4k screens are especially sick! I wish I had a 4k HDR TV right now for DOA6 so bad. I'm stuck on a 1080p plasma tv or laptop gsync screen. Ugh... Oh well. Downsampled should look sweet too.

I'm planning to get an Xbox One X especially for the game. I already own a PS4 Pro, but I need to see it in even higher resolution. I don't expect the game to hit 4k there though. Maybe 1800p? And probably 1400p on PS4 Pro.
I don't have a 4k TV either, but I do really enjoy a clean and crisp downsampled image.

I wonder if we will get heavy changes in hairstyles in this game.
I don't think they'll change up characters too heavily outside of costume.

There's some obvious hairstyles that didn't make it into DOA5 (outside of DLC costumes), adding those like Momiji with her hair down would be a good start for hair options imo.

I made a side by side comparison of the DOA6 key art and the DOA5LR key art, which both use game assets, they are not prerendered. The DOA5LR key art is unfortunately a bit overexposed, but you still notice the big detail boost that Kasumi's face received in DOA6, especially the eyes:

Love how the style between 5 & 6 is consistent yet there's still obvious changes. It will be interesting to compare models from the characters that have yet to come.

I hate how round her DOA6 face is its like she gained some weight.

Lol no thanks, the faces are rounder in general its the same in DOAX3/VV. Hitomi's face is also off model in that game too...

Makes me worried Hitomi's weird Laughlines in DOAX3 will be in 6.
