The problem with Cecil is that in the beta you are literally limited to a signle option to chang forms. I'm still trying to figure out how Souleater/Paladin Force HP attacks work in DFFNT (if they both are equipped or only one of them) and that really makes playing him a lot more bearable. As is you have to weight risk reward and deal with it.
As for villains, I'm looking forward to Kuja (villain main), Jecht (obviously), and eventually Gabranth (if he makes it. Still curious how he would work, maybe his Unique EX puts him into Judge mode for a limited time? He would need HP attacks for outside Judge mode though).
Soul Eater and Paladin Force are individual sets of HP attacks intended for those who are 100% dedicated to one job or the other.
If you're in Paladin mode, you immediately go to Dark Knight by using Soul Eater. And vice versa when using Paladin Force. Think of it as a quick fix if you started the match with the wrong job.
In earlier versions there used to be a 1-second delay upon using them from opposite forms, but now it should be instantaneous.
Also, Paladin Force no longer auto-links after a hit confirm with Searchlight, since Searchlight itself no longer stuns the opponent.
So, how's everyone liking the AC episode?
I thought it was actually fun, there certainly is a lot to do, even after you finished the main quest.
While they definitely took great care to redecorate and even rebuild Lestallum (all the roof tops are now explorable, which I am going to miss in the main game) the quality of this episode is clearly below that of the carnival. There are a few glitches, bugs and some cutcenes are frankly bad. Mouths not moving while talking and some amateurish camera work.
Playing this there's a lot you can get for the main game, much more than in the carnival. Lots of rare items, a new photo filter for Prompto, a new Regalia design (which I did not manage to win so far) and of course the AC attire. Everyone gets the AC Origins look and Noctis, if he has the Dream Egg, gets the original AC attire from the first game in the series. The costumes are of low quality texture work though and look terrible up close. Why do they do this? :/
Ah, completely forgot the new bestiary! It is actually pretty great and the models are in 3D and you can zoom in on them and rotate them...but not Shiva, lol. She is the only model that you can't take a closer look at...for obvious reasons. Sorry, @Project Bokuho @UpSideDownGRUNT

Well, I just completed everything in the Assassin's Festival (I guess), it was pretty cool and there's definitely more to do here than the Chocobo Carnival.
I found the main quest to be kinda silly. Chocobo races in Lestallum are not the best, unless you don't mind being stuck after nearly each step.
The most interesting (and frustrating) thing was definitely the treasure hunt, the plant/flower part was driving me crazy (didn't wanna ask Iggy lol).
Btw, now it is also available to download (for free) Cup Noodle Noctis, aka best costume (hat) ever.

Actually, there are two more (female) entries you can't rotate/take a closer look at : the cursed canvas monster in Altissia and the deamon added for a quest in a recent update, Melusine [?])

You know...I'd even pay for actually good looking casual/cool/sexy costumes instead of all the free really dumb costumes they throw at us. :/

That's me just completed its story now I'm gonna do the other stuff! It was pretty good. It was good at least to see more of Loqi since in the main game he sort of just disappeared. It was cool to see more Cindy as well. Lestallum is a lot more accessible in this I'd say too with being able to jump from rooftop to rooftop. And lol finally we can play as noodlecup head Noctis. Yeah though I'd have preferred more actual outfits.

Oh I got it. It's a fake document that makes the Imperials (magitek soldiers) leave Lestallum. When you buy it, it says you have to speak to Holly (if you reload your save they will be there again), though I never bothered to do it since imo there's no reason for it... I mean, more enemies = more coins.
Are you talking about the guy on the roof that asks you to eliminate magitek soldiers and he wants some parts of them as proof?

I got it since I had gotten everything else already and it seems to just get rid of the empire's robots.
And @Tyaren no, where is the raffle? I couldn't find where to get the outfit from the dream egg either.
The raffle stand is far in the back of the city, you have to run up all the stairs of the main thoroughfare...I think? It's a big stand and once you talk to them for the first time they explain it to you.
Regarding the Dream Egg: It hatched automatically for me, when the characters got their costumes. That Holly woman then asked me if I wanted to wear the OG AC attire, while the other wear the AC Origins attire or if I wanted all characters including Noctis to wear the Origins attire. After you saved her you can talk to her again and switch costumes if you like. Maybe you used a save file in which you didn't have the Dream Egg?

Okay I'll check that out. And I was wondering If maybe I somehow didn't have the dream egg but I should??... I completed the Chocobo event and got it If I remember correctly and the save file I'm using has the chocobo festival. :/
