DISSIDIA ARCADE UPDATE:

A female FF9 character has made her debut in the Dissidia universe, as part of Opera Omnia.

Is it Dagger?

Is it Freya?

Is it the badass Beatrix herself?

Well... see for yourself.

I see FF9 best girl right here.
obviously joking, why the hell they'd put Eiko before Dagger is beyond me.

He will eventually. Also, I love how the other Dissidia game was meant for their more "under appreciated" characters yet Yuna and Cloud are both in there like they aren't some of the most praised and celebrated protagonists in the series skdlkfsvlskerlasdsfdg

I don't really care about Yuna much but Cloud is fine imo, I like his hair at least and he has some nice fan arts on Sankaku Complex from what I've seen XD Tbh when someone says Yuna I just think of Tidus

To be honest, I don't blame them. And here's some reasons why:

1) She's far from a damsel in distress compared to Dagger.
2) When her village was totally destroyed, she was forced to grow up quickly and had to survive on her own with the help of only a few moogles who can barely think for themselves.
3) She had to teach herself how to summon far before coming of age.
4) In the process of growing up, she was mature enough to eventually realize Zidane likes Dagger and selflessly tries to push their relationship further in her own subtle way.
5) She did something we've been itching to see since Disc 1... beat the crap out of the most unlikable villains ever, Zorn and Thorn.
6) She joined Z-Man and the Masters of the Uni-- I mean, Zidane's party KNOWING their journey was going to be dangerous.
7) When the party is split and Zidane is not in the party, Eiko takes priority as the party leader. Not Freya. Not Steiner. Not Amarant. Eiko.
8) With all this in mind, consider she's doing all this at the age of six years old... SIX. YEARS. OLD.

If that doesn't make Eiko the youngest real G in the Final Fantasy universe, let alone take priority over Dagger in a Dissidia appearance, I dunno what does.

I guess it's set in stone that Noctis isn't joining DFF anytime soon huh?

It is confirmed that Noctis will be part of the roster. He will come. If sooner or later doesn't actually matter, since the game will stay in arcades a little longer anyway. The console version will however surely have Noctis in there from the start...and Ardyn, which I am pretty excited about.

You need to go back and play X & X-2 so you can experience the feminist legend and fashion icon Yuna in her glory

Good to know! I still hope they do DLC too, I'll buy additional outfits no problem if they're pleasing enough to me, plus screenshot! ☆.☆

I've seen her, she good but not my type, but then again FF is one of those series where I hardly like any of the female characters at all. Even when I was little and saw the game I'd always kinda ignore Yuna and would only acknowledge Lulu or Tidus...and don't say NOTHING, I was like only 9-11 >.> I didn't understand then...

Yuna: Willing to go through a long difficult journey to ultimately sacrifice herself so the people in the world can feel safe for a few years, turns her back on established doctrine and forges her own path when she learns the truth. Brings an everlasting calm (I am not gonna count that 2.5 and -will- bullshit as canon) to the people of Spira despite them turning on her like 5 minutes ago
Kasumilover69: Meh I'm not attracted to her

Well, what I meant is that they should have put a more "iconic" character instead of Eiko, and what you've listed doesn't change that, still feel that Dagger or Steiner should have the priority. Not that I'm not happy with her addition since it puts her a bit in the spotlight. I was kinda fond of her character and as you said she did pretty awesome things, plus she was super useful in battle lol.

How dare you.

Cloud is within the textbook of unprecedented cringe (yet it makes sense for him to appear before any other VII candidate). Enjoy.

Dissidia Arcades is still vanilla build. Noctis will definitely appear somewhere down the line.

... Mccuse me? Yuna's the real mvp what didn't you like about her? Chapstick went over it but she goes through a lot during that series. Tidus is the protagonist but she has a huge part in the story. I'm happy I played X and X-2 and Yuna was one of the great things about it.

Then again you didn't like the other queen Fran so I'm not shocked.

Steiner is already in Opera Omnia.
