I think the game is much faster, it was probably just his first time playing and you know how that be...I remember when I was playing SK my first time and it felt super awkward. I'm overall happy with her playstyle though, her moves were very entertaining to watch in the musou game arena.
In DOA4 at least, I kinda didn't like that since I preferred the slower more technical pace of DOA2/2U, it fit my playstyle more, but DOA5 has found middle ground which I'm happy about tho. Also this game is still in the early works so they probably might increase the pace depending on feedback during play testing. :-DSpeaking of being much faster... DOA used to be liked fast-pace,but furious.
Wow. I have never played any Musou game. But that there, looks like some hot ass garbage. Like, when Kasumi jabbed, 20 dudes all rose and fell together, as one. lol. Just looks cheap.
I recall that from Hyrule Warriors (I watched a couple videos, cause TN was attached) but it didn't seem so out of place then as compared to this style. Looks rough, imo. Warriors/Musou games are not for me.
Edit: Oh sorry, I quoted the wrong post at first. I meant for the actual video. Fixed
As someone who spent an hour or two playing Dragon Quest Heroes yesterday, I can definitely say that was way more fun than how this looks. This is basically just Dragon Quest Heroes but not as fun, in that game I thought hundreds of monsters but never got bored where in this one I think I'll lose interest. They should take away the overly large monster KOs just from hitting 2-4 within the same radius, that kind of takes away from the challenge knowing you can take out almost a dozen from a few short strikesThat looks absolutely terrible! o__O
Repetitive, boring, stylistically devoid of any charm (whereas Hyrule Warriors and Dragon Quest Heroes had that charm) and those animations...even in DOA1 on the PS1 Kasumi's movements felt more fluid and agile.
...I don't think anyone said that. This game looks particularly slow and clunky, even for a Warriors game.Wait wait, are users in this thread expecting Musou games to be like a AAA titled game with intense graphics? LMAO.
There will always be games just to make it. Musou games are one of them. Just look at the low budget RPGs made my Compile Hearts, GUST etc. You can't expect RPGs with typos and bad dialogue to surpass Square's FFs or Tales. Some games are just being there on a technical side of things.
Is it me, or is the voice work in this actually really bad? Kasumi sounds completely devoid of any emotion whatsoever, like they phoned up her actress in the middle of the night and told her to say some lines with absolutely no direction.
Doesn't sound bad to me, Kasumi has always been kinda soft spoken and robotic imo, even in DOA5 with her English voice, she talks a bit too proper and reserved, it's only really in her battle cries and screams of pain(♡.♡) that she actually sounds feisty. Kasumi's Japanese VA is definitely not feisty, love her Japanese voice but it puts me to sleep in comparison to her English one.
Oh I know, I was just pointing out that this how Kasumi is supposed to sound, she's kind of not so animated voice wise in comparison to say Hitomi. And yeah there's gonna be way too many characters for English VAs@Juihau
Tyaren: That looks absolutely terrible! o__O

I mean, are we expecting the game to be tremendously well done and become jaw dropping sales hit? these are games that are just made to be made. While I do agree that the combat system is repetitive as hell and has been like that for like the past dozens of the series, I mean...what's to expect? - As for the slow and clunky, yeah...I wouldn't be surprised about it.

Musou Stars will probably be like WO3 where ENG might not swing by even for hard localization.
Those are still Warriors games by the same devs (though HW had TN in on it too), but yeah, nevermind, sorry.@Juihau

To which I say, in Musou Stars she's gone from soft-spoken and lacking feistiness to outright cardboard. Cardboard, I say! Plus, she's had access to that exact same attack before, and at least put more energy into it than that.Oh I know, I was just pointing out that this how Kasumi is supposed to sound
