DLC Costumes

TN/KT: Lets do something besides make swimsuits and stupid looking fanservice costumes. Lets bring back some more stages and add some cool/badass costumes and give one to every single character.

That would be a dream come true.

Matter of fact, there are a few costumes that i would like color swaps for.

I'd like a blue/white color swap of Naotora's pop idol outfit, and maybe a recolor of Ein's red pants and shackle outfit, oh and a recolor of Kasumi's ninja jumper pant outfit with a low ponytail.

I want Rig's TKD shirt to be white and blue and i want Akira's karate gi to be black or maybe navy blue.

DOA needs more afro representation in general, I'd like a male my age with the same personality with the giantest afro in the whole game, and who uses street fighting. XD I wouldn't mind a darker Kasumi and Naotora either, like maybe a tan? A lighter Ein being the same tone as Kasumi would also be awesome, I never really liked his tanner skin.

Good luck with anyone but japanese additions at this point. Since 5 vanilla we've gotten 12 characters (including Mai) and 8 are japanese. The other 4 are white

I do find it strange how Nyo is considered Japanese.

You're right Chap. :-( Dark/darker skins is a thing in Japan, but it isn't as popular as moe and loli. Plus an afro like mine would be difficult to render and animate, and they'd have to get our traits right, like thicker lips, and eye structure, but not in most cases as I'm part white and have a completely neutral face(hideous <_>) but thick lips. XD Making us is kinds touchy anyways, it has to be done very carefully or else there will be backlash.

I would like a character like Dudley in DOA because he isn't a walking stereotype and he makes us look good(yes, dudley is black).

SOME people don't see him as black because he acts and sounds like white british man, his eyes are blue, and his nose and lips aren't super sized.

I noticed that more than 10 characters are asian but i don't really see it as a bad thing.

Yeah Dudley is more my preference, Balrog was just trash in terms of representation. Zack is ok but he's too goofy, and no one takes him seriously, but that circus flower afro outfit he has is awesome. XD

Just look at them. You can tell which one is a "thug" and which one is classy and kewl.

Btw, i noticed that most if not all of the americans in DOA seem to be upbeat individuals.

They weren't originally, Bass and Tina were actually a lot more serious from DOA2-DOA3, but somehow got more upbeat and happy in DOA4-DOA5, heck pretty much everyone was more serious back then. Why that happen I do not know, although I prefer some characters less serious and more upbeat.

How can a punch based character work in doa? they would be very weak against ryu with all his izuna punch holds. At least has a few hand strikes even if shes completely kick focused. I guess they can have a few kicks like some stomps like steve from tekken does but they would still be handicapped

A punch based character can work only if done right. Rig is kick based and he gets the job done in DOA.
