People said the same thing about someone getting a Naotora costume and it never happened.

Mai definitely will not be a costume in the pack

I tried the KOF14 demo (couldn't get into it), Terry is the Blonde guy, right? I think Jacky should have a costume based on his, hopefully guest characters will have a costume that is?

I'm not saying who they will get, I'm saying who I think the best matches would be.

I honestly can't think of matches for kasumi and ayane aside from mai and the other ninja girl with the yoyos.

Guests don't get crossover costumes. It makes no sense for them to get any.

The VF guests don't get crossover costumes more likely because that would be a 3way crossover which would be too much work. TN would need to get the approval from the owners of both VF and whoever they're making crossovers for to make it happen and they clearly cant. I personally think that's totally fair.

Lmao, who would've thought that two dlc characters(Marie and Honoka)would end up being more popular than characters who've been in doa since the beginning.

Honestly, Team Ninja kinda pushed it really hard. Don't know the business aspects behind those decisions, but team ninja is probably more responsible of marie's and honoka's popularity than anyone else.

? ....Well it's true, there's no character in KOF that I can fathom MR getting, only ones I can see is Silvie and Ninon, but Silvie isn't from that team's time period and Ninon won't be featured because MI2 wasn't a well regarded KOF game series, if she gets someone they'll have to cut some serious corners to make it suitable for her. I never said anything about underpromotion.

Regarding Marie and Honoka's popularity, it's not at all because of TN, Japan likes those types of characters so TN gives them DLC monthly to capitalize on their popularity. Kasumi and Ayane are part of this niche too, which is why they also get DLC almost guaranteed every month, and they've been in since the start. The guys just don't sell well, TN makes outfits for people to buy them but because hardly anyone does they don't really bother to. Valentines Day DLC was basically the last chance for people to prove that the guys deserved some attention too, but once again it's a last ditch effort since hardly anyone buys DLC for them outside of Halloween, Collaboration, and certain DLC sets. It's ultimately all about popularity and sales.
