I got a few more pics

Weird there's such a drop in quality with the grass here vs the first screenshot. I heard most of the stages in this game are remade/remastered versions of 3DS and vita locations

The interfaces are really pretty imo

There are a bunch of different patterns here but I feel like it works. Lastly I like how well the hair and clothes move

Does the game run in 60fps? That grass looks horrible as do the textures. I often have the feeling Japanese developers are still stuck in the PS3 era...or even further back. It's mostly the Western developers that wow us with amazing graphics. Are there many examples for really great looking Japanese games on current gen? From Software's Blood Bourne and Dark Souls 3 come to mind...but they mostly excel in art style not really in their tech.

It runs at 1080 60fps but there are some framerate drops when there's too many enemies on screen. This game is also on vita and I think PS3 so they were holding it back too.

I was thinking the other day about how western games look so much better graphics-wise, idk why that is other than them just not caring as much. Meanwhile over here that seems to be a heavy focus. I'm also curious why like every PS4 japanese game throws their watermark on screenshots and videos while I haven't seen a western game yet that does that.

Japanese games don't especially dish out in graphics, they tend t mostly just do gameplay and artstyle first and foremost.

It probably doesn't help that majority of PS4 games are almost always also on Vita, PS3 or both, I cant think of many Japanese games anime games especially that are just PS4 and nothing else. THE iDOLM@STER: Platinum Stars is basically the only one I can think of right now.

It also doesn't help that the PS4 is actually not selling well in Japan. Just about 3 million. The other 37 million were sold in the West. That's why there are still so many cross-platform games in Japan, whereas they have by now disappeared here in the West. I was really disappointed when Persona 5, Star Ocean 5 and Tales of Berseria were all announced as cross-platform games. :/ As far as I know the PS3 versions don't even release in the West, just in Japan. They could've looked so amazing... >__<
Now they just look mediocre...

Lol what's your beef with it? the character models and stuff look pretty decent >.> the clothes are shiney and stuff and it has shaders that's more than most games of similar style.

It's just not as styalised as Persona lol

To me it all looks disjointed...literally...just look at what their limbs do...

Also, if you are going anime style you should adjust the lighting accordingly. The lighting, textures and shaders are way too realistic for the stylized characters. They look creepy and have long entered the infamous uncanny valley:

As with other japanese games, only the PS4 version is being brought over here, fortunately I have a PS4 lol I'd never have played a few games if not.

I was watching more gameplay of Senran Kagura and I'm still not sure if I should get it or not, Personally I actually think it looks pretty fine graphics wise. It really looks fun though. If I don't get it I'll probably try to get what ever console game in the series comes out next. Is online fun?

And Kuroudo looks awesome.

Going back to Tachibana, I'm not normally into girls with long hair, but goddamn I love her hair so much!
