Top 8 starts off with Kwiggles vs Crazy Steady. This is a familiar hype match up and Crazy opens up with Leifang to start things off against Kwigs' Phase 4.

Crazy switches to Jacky after losing convincingly to Phase 4. He tries but ultimately can't get past the pressure or environmental damage.

Sonic Fox (Marie Rose) and @iHajinShinobi (Ayane) are up next and they waste no time creating a classic match.

We see back and forth exchanges, sometimes Sonic Fox was only able to win by a single strike. We see a lot less spacing from Hajin in the early going which is uncommon for his playstyle. He's very determined.

I thought it was weird during the first set when Marie Rose 3HK didn't work even after Ayane didn't tech off the ground. Though Sonic Fox does take the first match, making sure to taunt about it as an attempt to get in Hajin's head.

It didn't work in the second match as Hajin wins this using the appropriate reads. He defeats Sonic Fox again in the wrestling ring with some outstanding tech that I haven't seen other Ayane players use. Very hype set. Might be match of the tournament.

@Nykko (Leifang) vs @DroWin_MaN (Jann Lee)

According to Allen Paris, Jann Lee will definitely have to work for his win in this match. So let's see if his analysis is correct.

Nykko goes for the mix-ups right away and overwhelms Drowin Man with damage. He takes the first match quick, but Drowning man adapts and improves with his second try. It's not enough to get the job done but he got a few rounds and showed improvement.

Kwiggle defeats Hajin (Ayane) in a long defensive match. Now Hajin fights his ultimate mind game at this major: Crazy Steady (Lei) -- to keep tournament life. Hajin is doing whatever he can to take this victory over Crazy. Lots of great spacing and lows. Even an interesting pressure game. Crazy still takes the first match with parries galore.

They fight again, no character switching in the stupid wrestling ring we've seen way too many times this tourney. Hajin gets Crazy in the early going but begins to adapt after losing two rounds. Hajin does get the win however keeping his tournament life going. Crazy switches to Helena.

This match went to Last Round. Crazy was making great reads, but he had to because Hajin's stun game was on point, and his environment game was as well. Crazy still wins the game.

The next game Crazy Steady follows up with his own stun game and wins convincingly.

In this EVO 2015 rematch we see Crazy Steady selects Tina and Kwiggs picks Rachel. Finally some abused and neglected characters in finale.

We see a TON of exchanges on the electric ropes of the ring. These two beat the bricks off each other and it ended with Kwiggle winning the stun game in Last Round. Crazy changes to Sarah and destroys

Rachel so Kwiggle selects Phase 4 as his next pick and continues the chain by defeating Sarah. So Crazy switches to.......

Eliot.

Steady gets man-handled.
