I remember in DOA Dimensions Irene mentioned her two code names are Sea Swallow & Sonia. She will never be playable I feel bad for her fans.

I have seen fans email Shimbori and Tom Lees twitter accounts for 3 years now begging for her. Imo I think they have run out of fresh move set ideas or they just want her to stay a damsel in distress =/

rachel first showed up as a damsel in distress as well (even more so than irene in fact) and she made it in. though in her case, her playable status in the sigma games did depict her as more badass than her initial appearance...

I used to seriously want Irene. Not to the point of twitting them but voicing it on here. Over time though I have thought that maybe shes a lost cause and TN just won't put her in doa.
Even though its even more ridiculous though I still totally want Niki to get put in the game. And she is a doa character with history and story to the series.

you make it sound like she hasnt appeared in doa yet. i havent played dimensions but i know she played a role in that game and given that doa and ng are in the same universe, i dont see why most characters cant crossover between the 2 series; its not like ayane and kasumi havent showed up in ng and rachel and momiji havent been made playable in doa...

Yeah I never played Dimensions either so I don't really know what happens in the story. I would definitely be happy if she was added as dlc or in doa6 I'm just not keeping my hopes up about her inclusion or anything. I do think she would bring some very needed variety to the female cast though in terms of personality.

DOA6 story should cover why Hayabusa, Rachel, etc. wear bondage costumes.

If you google for "gothic lolita" pictures you find quite a lot of variety in style...but bondage inspirations like Marie's are fairly unique actually. Which I like.
One more reason for me to believe, that before Marie became all cutesy (like nearly all DOA girls by now), she initially was supposed to be more dark in character, contrary to her angelic, childlike appearance. She never wore any dark gothic lolita outfits anymore, no more talk of her being "devilish" and "wicked" or her liking horror films. And what's up with that "Rose of Blood"? XD I honestly think they changed their mind halfway with Marie to sell her better.

I looked up that DOAX2 trailer after everyone said it's much worse than the things in DOAX3 (ie Nyotengu trying to eat a volleyball with her butt) and I think Christie is because she was butt naked
