Well it is "The Art Style and Graphics discussion" thread. So having a discussion about how doa's art style has changed fits the thread.

They aren't breathtaking but I do like that you can see things like the tanning affect in action.

Its just a port of a ps3 game
Yep, I noticed this too and, yep, it's the only place in the game, where this happens. Particles just fall through the floor in other stages. It's a really nice touch and at least something, where you can see, that they actually do improve the graphic's physics a little apart form the boobs.

It looks to me like the particles do go right through the ground but randomly generated specks of light appear on the sand to make it look like they stuck to it. Clever of them imo, would be nice for it to happen on the other stages.

Hey, that was me making a sarcastic comment lol, not meant to be grumpy at all lol.
And regarding DOAX3, at least Kasumi is anti aliased and stuff even if its a "bullshot" as you call them, even LRs pre release screens didn't look like that.
But saying that Sexy Beach looks better graphically, if I find some SFW screens I'll post them.
So far a H game has better graphics and better gameplay and more characters than DOAX3....

Y'know, for some reason, I've always found it hilarious that erotic media, especially that originating in Japan, frequently seems to take place in a world where sexuality overtly pervades all aspects of life. I mean, really. A water park called Sexy Land. It's almost like societal commentary or something.
I looked at some videos and, yes, the Sexy Beach 4 character models now look better than the DOA models. At least in terms of polygon count, textures and shaders. But the rest of the open world (?) looks actually really fugly and disjointed. Wow...and all the bloom lighting...

Yup, and to be fair Illusion aren't particularly known for the best graphics in gaming ir even H games but it still looks amazing the idea of an open world H game with water shooting, dating mechanics, fighting rivals and real time day and night sounds ridiculous but its al in SBPR

I feel the same way about them and it always sets this horrible uneasiness to me to be in a world were every is sexual. But then again it doesn't seem that far off from our own world.
Also that games graphics look okay I wouldn't say better than doa's though.
On August 25. the survival horror game Until Dawn will be released exclusively for the PS4. The game looks very nice and especially the dark setting, with it's lighting and shadowing looks really impressive and atmospheric. The character models and backgrounds don't look too shabby either. I have no screens yet will probably edit them in later, but I really like how Everyone has gone to the rapture looks.
It's identical to how countryside north England looked like in the late 80s early 90s, reminds me of the small Yorkshire town I grew up in.
