Gen Fu and Alpha 152 however only have their names listed in gray boxes with no image (alongside Miyako, Donovan, and Fame Douglas) . Makes me curious if they are story only and nonplayable

2) Fame Douglas is dead, he can't fight.

I can see Alpha and Gen Fu not being playable. Gen Fu is probably there for Eliot to confide in. And Alpha, is obviously the boss.

I never thought Alpha was playable to begin, but I was expecting Gen Fu, the lack of an image is sort of suspect. But then again the chart completely excludes some characters so who's to say.

The fact that Miyako, Fame, and Donovan aren't playable is what I was pointing out as a possible indicator that Gen Fu and Alpha may not be playable either

Over 20 Characters confirmed. 18 characters playable revealed. + absolutely certain Helena, Brad Wong and Eliot. Thats 21. Plus rumored Pai and Mila thats 23. If you can get a mention of the roster being 24 then that would confirm Gen Fu if you ask me.

The chart just seems incomplete. There's a "?" between Hayate and Hitomi. Wong's picture is just sitting there without any connections to anyone and Fu doesn't even have a picture yet.
