I am not embarrassed it is my stupid tablet that should be. I typed the correct spelling, but for some reason (perhaps that I share my tablet with others), it changed it to that spelling.Not to embarrass you, but its "androgynous".
But anyway, I love the design

My entry for Helena
Something I noticed: This contest we have dozens of zombie hunters, several monkey king characters, several pirate Honokas, several cow Honokas, several snake queen Christies, several Marie Antoinette Helenas, several Alice in Wonderland Marie Roses, several Egyptian Nyotengus, several Dia de Muertos Lisas, several tanuki Ayanes...the list goes on and on. It will turn out to be really hard to pick a costume to include in the game for Team Ninja. And if, for example, one Egyptian Nyotengu wins, the designers of very similar Egyptian Nyotengus will be very disappointed or even pissed off. :/

That's just how it goes.. people in this community get uppity over the littlest things, so just expect it.
Honestly, over half of those zombie hunters are mine.. I just did it for fun and because I was scrutinized for one of them, so in turn I decided if they "really disliked" the one, they would really dislike more.

Honestly, I've been working on my Marie-Antoinette concepts for weeks. When I saw the other Marie-Antoinette yesterday, I was a bit sad because his/her costume was super cool and I was like "oh God, I have no chance to win against that". But I decided to finish my concept nethertheless as it was the finish line and I wanted to take part in the contest. Thanks again Anthony.
I won't be pissed off if the other Marie-Antoinette wins because it's really really good!
I won't be disappointed if any other costume wins, as long as it's better than last year's.
I just want Helena at the end to have something cool.
PS : Have you noticed there are three goldfish costumes ? One for Lei Fang, Momiji and Kokoro!

There are some costumes that are similar in regards of the theme, but I still enjoy nonetheless the unique take on each costume each artist has. With that in mind, whenever I go through a design, I try to make an original costume that comes from many source materials/references at hand. Even if they're not related together, it can be used to push towards creativity. That way, if I find my design too generic, any other inspirations IRL or references will come in handy to change that to make it more appealing.

I still believe that most of them would just become stand-alone sets rather than actually be picked(like some of the leftover costumes was for last year was)

pretty much what TN has done is set up for at least 6 months of DLC costumes and posed it as a Halloween Contest. they knew they were going to get thousands of subscriptions, and since fans complain about their ideas and they've ran out things to turn into fetishes, why not just let us design the next packs. they still have other outfits they can use from last years contests. so essentially all these same themed costumes are just more than likely going to be packs.
at least thats how i'm making sense of all this.
i'm really over the egyptian themed clothes tho. christ.

Exactly! That's what happened wih the Hero Pack I believe. Some costumes were inspired by last year's contest.
I believe we will see an Animal Pack with Goldfish Kokoro, Tanuki Ayane, Swan Kasumi, Lion Lisa, etc.
Anyway, except if there are new Helena entries before the deadline, this is my Top 5.
1. Amazing design but probably not enough part of the popular culture.
2. I love the colors and the vibe, it has high chances to win!
3. Nice design, Helena is also some kind of Godmother fairy, so I buy it!
4. I want this to win so bad, but it didn't work last year.
5. Nice design but I'm tired of black on Helena for every Halloween...
