Lets be honest, this is gonna be a thing so lets have a thread for it.

FIRST off, I would suggest we get all the other contest submissions made, (ALL of them) to respect the efforts of the people who made them.
Outfit Submissions part 1

Outfit Submissions Part 2

Outfit Submissions Part 3

Secondly, I wanna make/have someone make, a business/bodyguard suit for Mila (I imagine Tina hiring her as a bodyguard/assistant lol)

Going to make outfit based on the cocktail thème. I like your ideas of business Mila, i may implement something like that for her and Helena ( she hold a company after all, it fit her perfectly)
For the design concepts, i already posted what i wanted here :
http://www.freestepdodge.com/threads/doa5u-wanted-costumes.2936/page-82
Any other suggestions ?

Also i think i'm going to work on the texture improvement, it's off topics but it's probably the most important thing to do when DOA5LR will be out. Maybe we should also prepare a thread for this.
(I'll get to the task during summer, once the tools will all be working and my exams passed, so i don't think i will be able to show my work anytime soon haha)

I know a lot of people who want to mod this game on PC so I'm hoping they get something together within the first 2 weeks of the game releasing

In a way, yes. Although I'm thinking the modding process will be more complicated. I want to try modding on my PC but I have a lot of learning to do. Once I figure it out though, my creations will be amazing!!

It'd be great if LR had as big a modding scene as SF4 and it's not just nude mods. But man there's going to be some awesome nude mods, probably within a week--no, HALF a week of release.

Personally I hope it's possible to swap DOA5 models with DOA4, and if not then I'd like to swap out some girls' bodies with Marie's. Also it'd be cool to play with boob sizes. I want to see some balloon sized boobs

Um let's see what else... give P4 her boss costume and Alpha's moveset.

^This :) And also thank you very much for your PM I received this morning ;).

I'm not sure if anyone would do that so soon lol. A lot of modders have many things going on. I'm expecting the first mods to be poorly executed just because it's gonna take a while to figure all the odds and ends out. I'm also predicting the first mods to be really crappy nude mods. :/

I've said this before, I've not modded anything on steam so I don't know how it's going to compare to other games I've done. To be completely honest I've never bought from steam so... Not to say I can't figure it out. I will. But we haven't even gotten the game. I've also not modded DOA before. This is a new and exciting challenge and I imagine it's gonna take time.

However, I do feel that at this point... it's a little premature to even enter a serious conversation about modding. Anything anyone can do at this point is make requests for the costumes they want in... and I understand this inclination...

It's one thing to sculpt, texture and reticulate all the minutiae of 3D modeling and/or animation. Implementing the models as add-on content etc. is another. So it will probably be a considerable time before this will happen. It will also be a considerable time before I will begin. Even when I decide to begin, I will be making mods that I won't release to the public (for instance my Buffy mod) because I don't really want my public mods to be cosplay. So there's a lot to think about before we make any commitments.

My biggest worry is people requesting mods that they would like and not contributing/helping. I would encourage everyone who plans on having a modded version of DOA -- and I mean this respectfully! :) -- to get some skin in the game; there's nothin' like doin' it yourself lol.

If you want something modded by someone else because you don't have the resources and/or means to mod DOA5LR on the PC, please have patience and have realistic expectations. I also encourage everyone who has not ever modded before to... at least learn about modding. Not from wikipedia. Like start practicing modding.

Also - this message was not meant to be inflammatory. I'm not saying that anyone who has posted on this thread is incompetent or a Noob. I like that everyone is hyped but... mod's probably aren't gonna be an overnight thing for most people. At least at this point lol.

Also, I beg of you all, lets keep the cosplay to a minimum, please?
I agree. Please no one request or post cosplay stuff. That is something you can be responsible for yourself. Do as I do, and keep those as personal mods, not public.

If modding gets really powerful, I want Bankotsubo. You'd just have to replace the model, voice, and animations.

Otherwise, can't think of anything other than some stuff from the costume request thread I made. Especially DOA3 C2 Bayman. Should be easy to mod his Winter Gear outfit by painting it black.

I haven't done any modding since Skyrim so I'm probably going to be rusty as hell. I might start with a few simple mods like recolours and costume swaps to get back into the swing of things. Also I think it's important that we don't get our expectations too high at the moment, we don't know how easy the game will be to mod yet.

This.

I won't get my hopes up too much since we don't have the deep information on how much depth we have to sink in. However, if it's as open as people would imagine... on the path of trying for Bankotsubo at the same time, someone add this man asap with his voice clip samples and using Akira's moveset. (Obviously remove the nunchuks.)

EDIT: Oh it says "Outfits". Nevermind, continue.

I know that if it is easy to mod in this game, I'm going to try to bring in different character models to replace some of the characters I don't like lol

I'd love to see my Rachel design get modded to return the bra to pink and add the lettering back to her sleeves. Bring it back to its original state. In fact there are quite a few costumes, both competition winners and 'original' costumes I'd like to see returned to their original design. No more under boob! I'm looking at you Ayane!

Better than me.

I've never modded, and my 3d modeling is rusty by 4 years so this should be interesting to see my crappy first attempts vs getting better lol.

Agreed. We don't really know what will be possible especially since DOA5LR doesn't have tools yet like cryption devices. It's even possible that Team Ninja may provide modders with tools to help us make better mods - it's been happening a lot lately.

Either way these things get more advanced as time goes on because someone develops tools specifically for quickly implementing the mod in the game.

I'm not too worried about the sculpting, animation, textures etc. that's actually the easier part compared to getting the game to work with the mod properly without errors. Ideally I would like them to work as add-on mod. We'll see. The game's been delayed again and even then I'm probably going to be focusing my modding on different games for awhile.
