I keep saying her name as "Hanukkah". I don't know if this is correct, but I feel it should influence her halloween/christmas costume next year.

I have a feeling I started a new maymay.

I watched a few videos of Genra and it's uh, slow and full of ranged attacks. I prefer a completely original style as well. And they could always use one of the random slots if people really wanted him back.

Anyway it should be one day max until the Japanese trailer.

As for the name, it's interesting that they kept it consistent with the others. Around 6 letters romanized, 3 syllables, easy to pronounce, etc.

Isn't that just most Japanese first names in general? Sa-ku-ra.... Ha-ru-hi.... Me-gu-mi.... Chi-Ha-Ru... Mit-Su-Ko... etc. It's the last names that get a bit extensive hahaha. I think last names are usually like 4 syllables aren't they? it's weird when you think about it. Never really crossed my mind.

Ah good, it's been announced. I can finally talk about it. Saw her about a month back, wasn't really supposed to so I've kept my mouth shut.

From what I played, "Honoka fighting style" is a hodgepodge of existing animations; it could be that they were placeholders until the animations were finished, though. Either way, her moveset as I saw it involved a heavy amount of palm thrusts that gave me the impression she'd be a sumo fighter, but then I saw a few running ass attacks and splits kicks as well. She's not full on Japanese idol mode like Lucky Chloe, but there's a definite moe moe anime fanservicey element to her.

Darn, I don't want it to be true. Both new characters aren't totally "new" but just Dural-types? It doesn't necessarily mean the sal-- frame data and playstyle won't be unique, but that still sounds terrible.

Anyway, are there any follow-ups to that? I also wonder how they got to "play" it in the first place.

It's off topic, but i gotta mention it. The salad thing must never die. We must make it actual lexicon, so it spreads to other games, then we'll have a fighting game term from DoA that no one can ignore.

Just MugenGuild in the Fighting game section. The guy that posted it I'm pretty sure has some ins of some sort in the gaming world, pretty sure he was able to get into E3 last year.

It definitely sounded legit. Especially with him putting himself out there the day before the trailer when we'll know if he was lying or not. I just wanted to know if he would post more info like why the heck she has an aura around her hands or why she has a tag throw with Raidou.

@DestructionBomb I just want an actual character without some horrible fundamental flaw to be added, i understand all characters have weaknesses but it doesn't need to be glaring.

Sounds like a guess, since the the caption next to the tengu screen mentions something about a game of rock paper scissors (although I can't make out the low res kanji)
