FSD got a mention in the credits while DOAWorld appears in the form of an easter egg in a specific stage that you won't catch unless your in replays. I would say FSD got the better end of the deal at the end of the day in terms of exposure.
However like it was already mentioned TN listens to the majority (People who keep throwing them money that don't give a damn about balance) wants and needs which was made obvious since the alpha stages in the game. Competitive DoA players surprisingly (Not really) is barely a slice of the whole pie in terms of fanbase demographic. Sucks but no use crying about it. You could try boycotting to change their buisness practices, but that never works since you need a significant percentage of the fanbase to organize and follow your cause to make a difference.
Despite this though TN has been relatively chill supporting the competitive crowd in forms of throwing some cash into event pots and even advertising events in the game which I can say has done more then most other fighting game developers.
Although there is the occasional fb/twitter rage that is funny to witness.

It's a bit like her 236P+K but she can do it from her stance, and then do her CB right after.
Looks like TN watched this video a deceny ago. That's her 66K+H with a 214P+K follow-up which is not in DOA yet hehe.

This pic is a good reminder for me, why I think, Team Ninja should do overall less costumes (at most 10), but costumes that really suit the character and are unique.
The Marie Rose costume is a color variation of her second default, okay...but look at Christie! She just looks like a random police stripper. If she wasn't together with the Marie Rose cosplayer, I wouldn't have recognized her. (That's coming from a loyal fan since DOA2.) Same goes for a girl in a nurse outfit, or school girl outfit, or bikini, or towel... I think, Team Ninja is seriously watering down the uniqueness, recognizability and thus appeal of their characters. With a wardrobe of 30+ costumes, from school girl to stripper, the girls have become mannequins without any personality. Usually fighting game's stories are rubbish, that's why at least the characters have to be flashy, interesting, likeable and unique. :/ I've retained that feeling about the characters of Soul Calibur, Tekken and Street Fighter, but for DOA it's slowly disappearing for me.

Totally agree with you Tyaren. Almost every DOA girl has lost her appeal to me. I used to draw a lot of DOA fan art but not anymore outside of those contests. I just don't care about DOA's characters anymore.
It's a shame that DOA will never have anyone as sexy as SF's Viper or SC's Hilde since TN doesn't understand the meaning of less is more. Mila could've been that girl but they whored her up pretty good through DLC. Nyotengu also could've been an awesome character... when I pictured a female tengu in DOA it was someone a little darker and mysterious, not a whiny Juri wannabe in a nurse outfit.

2/4 of those the poor guy was going for a handshake and was attacked by the angry woman.Next character should be a skilled and mature and intelligent and independant female detective from Korea. Not working for DOATEC or MIST and taking no order from men. Only working for her love of justice. YAHHHHHH

I happen to like Mila. DLC doesn't reflect the characters style those are just "copy paste" and I agree that Hilde and C. V are very pretty in their own way. As for Nyotengu yes her outfits are revealing but in a way I like it. She ain't a wannabe Juri Han Juri has her own motives that make more of a difference in her story. Nyotengu is just here at the moment because we all know she ain't got a chance against DOAs posterboy Ryu. But all in all if you don't like it don't buy it or pay any attention because what's the point in budding heads with people who like a character when we all know it ain't going to go anywhere.
