I've been contemplating on this for a while and come to think of it, it may not actually be a bad idea.
Even though the story is all FUCKED up what if Phase-4 was the REAL Kasumi?

Everyone you wish: I would love a new original male character, but for satisfyng the majority of the fans, after the inclusion of the bosses and Irene, that place should be owned by Shiden, Niki or Rio Tachibana.
Nowadays I continue to think that would have been great if the comic authors of "The Amazing Spiderman" would have followed the original scenario in their minds that was just this one...
There would be too much incongruences for Kasumi being revelaed as a clone, more this concept was similarly already used for the fake Kasumi in the DoA5 story. On the opposite I think that could be more easy to include the revelation that Ein it's never been an amnesiac Hayate with a fixed body and experiments on his nervous system (with the sideffect of a loss of memory), rather a real clone of Hayate.
So while the Ein clone was able to get a shinobi life unaware of it, the poor real Hayate could be still crippled, prisoner of Donovan and confined in a wheelchair....
By the way this is just an hypothetical scenario, I don't think that the current Hayate is really a clone.

Hmm... there's a 50/50 on that... even if the clone Hayate was 100% I dont think memories would carry over to them.

I'd like to think that Lisa lied to DOATEC about Project Epsilon being a failure and that she is secretly keeping a perfect Hayate clone in the abandoned laboratory of DOATEC Germany before releasing the real Hayate to the forest.

Solution: Rio gets the spot, but Niki and Shiden are hidden on the two Random Icons, accessible by holding two triggers when you pick that spot. But unlike Dimensions, it pulls up a costume selection for them when you do this, instead of limiting them to 3 costumes with alternate button presses. That brings the roster to an even 40.

Apparently seems that DOATEC/MIST technology is able to clone even the memory, think to Kasumi Alpha (fond of Hayate) or Fake Kasumi (convinced to be the real Kasumi).
Anyway in the real world this should be impossible (at least for now).

If they ever put Irene, I hope they will remodel her. Her NG face is awful. DOAD's model was a nice makeover. We don't have a "soldier" girl yet, so that could be neat.

And yeah I wasn't to fond of her NG3 look (or her NG2 look). Make her look like how in DOA Dimensions.
