I thought about it for a second... and here's my answer.A godawful token Black stereotype that barely gets used is the most redeeming quality of DOA? Really now, think about it for a second...
What a fool you are. Do you not see the cleverness? The wit? The magnitude of barriers he's broken from the mold of black stereotypes in fighting games?
Do you not see his well-written connection to Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers as the former Black Ranger 7-9 years in the past?
Do you not see his carefree childhood as a television commercial personality as the one true Legomaniac?
Did you not see his original concept of Teletubbies that could've spun off from the Power Rangers franchise, only to have PBS acquire the rights right from under his nose and bastardize his badass concept?
Do you not see the inspiration for the legendary Super Saiyan Broly's trademark quips?
Do you not see his incredible respect for Leiji Matsumoto and one of the most badass speeches of all time from one of the most badass characters of all time, Captain Harlock?
Surely, Zack is no ordinary stereotype with these feats. He was a Power Ranger. He was a Legomaniac. He sounds like a Super Saiyan. He's a fan of one of the most revered manga artists in history. And he damn near banged the last remaining descendant of the Cetra... but most of all, he's a fun loving guy who has the ability to bring the fighters together in a tournament, let alone every girl to a resort island he bought with his own money... and you have the nerve to write him off as a godawful black stereotype?
I'm not a Zack player or anything like that, but it's not that hard for me to see Zack is as unique as they come. Do you know many Dee Jays, Bruce Irwins, or Eddie Winslo--- I mean Gordos that have done half the awesomeness this guy has done? Didn't think so.
