actually irene can fight, the only reason she got caught was because christie promised her hot lesbian sex. Irene got deeply confused and was like sure and then christie tied her to the tree. After the scenario she laughed and left irene tied there and irene was to embarrassed to tell hayabusa.

i meant to actually write this as a joke but it actually sounds like something that would happen in doa. erm.

Nikki, Irene, Miss Monday and Miyako... I'm curious as to how these guys are "most likely" when they have shown no signs of actually being able to fight...

Lisa pretty much acts as a tour guide in XBV where she first debuted. Did anyone even knew she'd turn out to be a luchadora in the next installment?

They can honestly throw in the oddest of occupations that doesn't seem to fit as a character in a fighting game and still turn them as fighters. (high school/college student, geisha, opera singer, etc.)

A good case for Irene's addition is she already has a character model they can port from NG3. Then again they could add Mizuki instead for that same reason. Would be kind of cool to hear Ali Hillis's voice in DOA.

I think it's a bit different when the characters already made an appearance in previous games and appears to be nothing but a damsel in distress.

Fun Fact: Ali Hillis was Rio's VA in Paradise.

I still kinda prefer Irene's character model from Dimensions. I wouldn't mind if this costume was her default rather than her NG outfits.

That's like saying Princess Peach can't be a heroine all because she's known for that role and yet she's playable in SSB.

SSB isn't canon to the story of Mario. NG is canon to DOA. There's a difference n_n;;

( eh... is canon the right word? =S but basically SSB doesn't really have anything to do with the story of Super Mario.... )

Edit: .... Just so everyone knows, I don't really mind if she is added hahaha, I just think considering the Tengu uproar, and the fact they're trying to get the VF audience into DOA that they're more likely. I have nothing against Irene, and I wouldn't entirely care if she was added.. >_>;;

In rachels case, shes what? 3000 years old? Surely she must have had some hand to hand experience in demon high school.

And even if she didnt, shes a friggen demon that can carry and swing an axe bigger than her.. n shes already big. So if her style is just slaps, shed still be able to fight...

Irene, is human.. and a wuss that keeps getting kidnapped. Not interested..

Just bring back tengu!

The thing is they still made Princess Peach playable regardless of her role on the actual Mario games. It's somewhat kinda similar to Hayate if you think about it. He got captured but eventually became playable later on after regaining his memories and he was captured on 2 different occasions.

They say there's no such thing as bad publicity. These responses make me wonder just how many people realize that Maneki's applying this logic in full force.

These guys have pretty much proven my point in full force.

Heard it before... I'm reminded of the saying about rubber and glue. Familiarize yourself with it. If you're trying to play Social Justice Warrior, you're not going to impress me.

i seriously dont see how Zack is a stereotype of anything

You're kidding, right? He thinks he's a pimp master. He dresses in the most tacky clothes known to mankind -- at least his defaults are really bad, hell he even talks like he's from the ghetto. His intros are the type of thing you'd see in a hip-hop video.

The only real encouragement I seem to get is when he plays and says "Your heart's gonna be all mine, baby", my character is about 800% more inclined to take him down a peg or two.

This is just an observation of the character in general and the fact he seems to follow to the letter so many really bad cliches. It's just disheartening.

You are not by chance the love child of Hoya Destroyer and Jyakotu? XD You combine both their most annoying aspects into one.

By the way, all the characters in DOA are stereotypes or lets phrase it nicer: archteypes, not just Zack. Actually most fighters out there rely on stereotypical characters: Tekken, Soul Calibur, Streetfighter, Mortal Kombat...you name it.

I have no problem accepting what you say as at least plausible, but given that, why would it be racist to notice it? I've repeatedly said that other characters in this game such as Jann Lee, Eliot, Bass, Leon and Rig are also stereotypical. I guess I must be racist against white guys too because I mentioned four in the same sentence. Uh oh!

This is my problem, I guess you could say. Don't throw the word around unless it actually, you know, APPLIES, because it gets devalued when REAL racism comes around. Much like the boy who cried wolf, eventually it's not going to mean anything.

Also, before you get any other ideas, personally I'd like to see a multicultural cast of women in the game. My ideal percentage would be ~50% Caucasian, ~35% Asian (adding in countries like Korea or Taiwan) and ~15% other races, including Hispanic, African-American and Middle Eastern. It's something I think the game would benefit from.

They were calling your statement racist...I was just saying, you tend to polarize this forum and you ruined (together with your pal Hoya Destroyer) the wanted costumes-thread. ;)

Whoa whoa whoa... back up 2 spaces. These are costumes I want to see the girls wear. That was the point of it, right? so I can't say it's ruined because these are the outfits, especially when you consider some of the outfits already in the game.

I came back to this game for a reason, y'know.

I can accept polarizing, but I do that anywhere I go, unfortunately. I guess this is why this is one of my theme songs:

We are unsure of what what happened between Irene and Christie I find that saying she can't fight because Christie captured her is pretty illogical, Christie has also captured Bayman and he sure as hell can fight.
