2 more fresh doses of my terrible Ein:
and the other one

enjoy :)

What a way to go out in that first vid lol. You did well the first round and made some nice reads but you started falling apart when you are at range which is understandable because Alpha has the strings that form a protective barrier. I've yet to find the sweet spot where I can 46P her for tossing out random things like those 6Ks. One tip I have for you is to lay off 6P+K a bit. You use it as if it was still a viable tool for interception and 14i. Never forget that it's 20i now and you must reserve it for situations where the opponent makes a terrible whiff or is coming at you way out of the right range with strings.

Other than that keep at it.

@UprisingJC

Your reads are very good and you manage to be extremely aggressive with a character that lacks the tools to do so competently. It's quite nice. I can't really comment on much else because the matches ended quickly and most of them consisted of close quarters combat.

@JayceeChris

Your movement with Ein is superb. I was extremely impressed with how you used KBD to avoid Rachel's string and counterblow her with 6P+K. IMO what you need work on is reacting to things or not being overcautious. You block a few of Helena's lows and manage to get her to make some terrible whiffs but don't capitalize with the appropriate punishment quite a few times. Other than that though your Ein is really on point man; Definitely the best one offline at the moment IMO.

One more suggestion is you might want to try to stun > launch some more. When you have the life lead in a match you really don't have to do much because the opponent MUST come to you to regain the life lead. Stun > launch allows you to consistently chip at your opponents health while minimizing risks. No need to push the threshold alot for CB mixups with Ein.

While I'm here:
Here's my match against ToKyo

And against Nameless' Hayate

Also, you'll have to excuse the weird inputs such as 9P at a distance or 33K 6P 2K etc. my PC controller that I use on PS3 ( I dislike using the DS3) has been giving me weird things recently.

P.S. I REALLY need to stop panic holding ¬_¬

Thanks a lot man ! I think being overcautious is due to bad online game experience, especially when I try to whiff punish something then miss it because of lag or stuff like that.
I had a problem with punishing Helena's BT 66K, my input didn't come out for some reasons.
And you're right I should definitely go for a quick launch when I have the life lead, I remember we have already talked about it in the past. Anyway thanks a lot for taking time to watch it and giving your impressions.

PS : After the tourney I realised how much 4K at 13 frames and hitting on the ground would help him against Helena. This match-up is hella hard to me.

Indeed man; I hear ya. Helena's BKO really negates alot of his best tools like 3P and some whiff punishers. TBH 14i 6P+K and 13i 4K would help him out immensely in this game; Those are the two most important buffs he can get. But yeah whenever you get tournament vids like this please be sure to drop a link. Your play is a good reference for myself and other Ein players lol.

@UpSideDownGRUNT

Not bad at all; I'm seeing some improvement in your whiff punishment. One really cool thing you did in the first vid was you did a quick crouch I think it was to avoid Kasumis 6P+K P and managed to get a hit in; that was nice. Just try to watch yourself when you are at disadvantage and hit confirm a bit better. You do things like 3P (blocked) then go for 33T. This will work on opponents that have no knowledge of Ein but 3P is -4. This means that if they strike at you chances are you are getting counter-hit unless you made a read on a high and did a crush attack post 3P. Either way the opponent has no reason to block after 3P since it has no followups. So yeah be careful with that habit. That's all I have for you.

Yeah, that's ranked habits coming into play haha. I still have habits from playing ranked and CPUs still, I need to kick them if I want to play more serious/better.
I'm getting better, but I still feel I'm missing something I still constantly forget that sidestep still exists should use that alot more as well as SSP and SSK. my main problem with defence is if I'm getting rushed by a fast character, I'll panic and start trying to hold it messes me up alot of time because I'm then just giving away free damage to my opponent.

And I've been practicing some basic combos but I need to be more patient with my inputs I still find I end up doing PPP or PPKK rather than PP6PK or PP6P2K depending on the launch height/enemy weight. OR the biggest offender of them all WRK haha I always miss WRK online it just doesn't work for me for some reason.

I just need to play good players more often and practice stuff in the lab more and my Ein should get more and more solid.

Alot of Ein vs Ayane videos lately lol, let me add to that :

A friendly against Ael's Ayane, I probably could've played better here but I played well minus a few input errors and got the win.:ein:

Well here a new video of my Ein. As you can see I still need to break the habit of 66kkk lol.

You did a fine job here man. As you yourself already stated just be careful with 66KKK. It's a good tool for whiff punishment and mediocre as a get in tool but its an option nonetheless. Fortunately most times you used it you got hits so that's good. You made good use of 46P as well. For now my suggestion is to work on some juggles because you had chances to launch your opponent but didn't. Other than that keep it up.

@Nameless Sama

For now get more familiar with Ein's moveset and get used to his range tools. Also you don't have to play the stun game so much with Ein; His stun > launch damage gets the job done because of the additional damage he gets from the environment.
