I'm well aware of what aesthetics means. 2D vs. 3D is aesthetic. The buttons doing different things is very aesthetic, you can still pummel someone into a corner and win with all the cheese factor in both games. Admittedly, there are more dead ends in a 3D game and it's *slightly* tougher to get there, but they are still there waiting for a cheap player to exploit.

If I wanted to talk about aesthetics, I'd be talking about how the character models looked, the art style each game is going for, heck, even the menu interface. And even then DOA is still keeping as far away from the bulked-up, cartoonish looks of SF. So unless you're attempting to hijack the thread with nonsense like you were here with those supporting Tengu by trolling them, I dunno where you're getting this from. But understand that DOA is not trying to be a 2D fighter, and actual tourney players don't want it to be... far from it.

Fine, the tournament players want a wannabe Tekken. If that makes you feel better, if you REALLY want to persist about the difference between 2D and 3D, which I contend still has the same problems.

I stand by what I said about Tengu. I have never found any guy attractive and never will but Tengu looks like a reject from a dwarf-tossing contest and DOES NOT BELONG in the game at all. He not only fell out of the ugly tree, but hit every branch on the way down. It's bad enough the game has Bass, Rig and Leon, who combined look like a cross between a pit bull and the Cryptkeeper, however, I believe Tengu belongs more in Tekken where unbelievably hideously ugly characters are not the exception but the norm (Devil Jin, Jinpachi, Ogre, Bryan, Jack-6, Heihachi, King, Hwoarang, etc.)

And I'd do her too.

so we've established that no, you do not know what aesthetic means. good to know. and that you don't understand concentrated manliness like Leon and bryan fury.

Dear posters in the casual thread: if I get one more reported post that occurs after this very post, I'm locking the whole thread, locking any that pop up as replacements, and issuing warnings/bans to offenders. My prior warnings have apparently fallen on deaf ears so we move straight into action.

i know this site is more to talk about the mechanics and game play, but i mainly play the game for fun (not that i don't want to get better) and this thread keeps me coming back to this site. I really don't want it to be closed.
