Sex is still sex, so of course regardless of whether it's pixels or not it's still inappropriate. A completely dressed 18 year old girl however, who doesn't act skanky, dress skanky, or do anything raunchy, or sexual... no. I don't see the problem.
Nothing was stolen. It's just a minor resemblance. Yes I saw the photos, and no I don't think they're identical. Like I said before, her C2 is ugly as hell- but it doesn't show anything that we haven't seen already in this game. It resembles a school swimsuit, but has hell a lot more covered than the school swimsuits we see on Kokoro, Kasumi, Ayane etc.
Keeping in mind those uniforms are taken from LITERAL Japanese school swimsuit designs. So, it's nothing out of the ordinary again. But they're also hideous, so I don't care much for them. They still cover a hell lot more than, oh I don't know... EVERY swimsuit DOA has released.
Compare Marie Rose's costumes, to lets say... Christie... or Lisa... or Tina... or... any female in the game. And tell me she's more sexualized than those characters. You can't, because she isn't. If a couple months down the road she's released, and we actually get costumes that should cause controversy ( if she's dressed in something like Helena's stupid looking shell bikini ) then, you know... I'll agree with you. But at this point in time, with the costumes we've seen... no. She's far from sexualized. Typical, Standard looking Lolita character.

Again, I do. The differences you could nitpick would be say, less than Ryu's LBF1 and LBF2, and I think everyone could tell that LBF2 is based off LBF1 almost entirely.

Again, those characters aren't lolis. It would be like saying "Oh, well you can't tell me Kasumi is more sexualized than Ein because Ein's nipples are showing!" There's different expectations for different appearances, whether we like it or not. Dressing up lolis slightly sexualized is going to be considered more offensive than showing a grown woman's bare chest, for example.

Ahhhh, ok. I wasn't sure. I don't really tend to quote much on forums. Usually just reply and hope the person I was referring to reads it.
Anyway, let's just agree to disagree. I just don't see anything sexual about her. To me, Lolita is just a representation of innocence. For the most part. Most characters who are Lolita tend to be fully clothed with minimal skin showing. ( Similar to her C1 )
Like I said about her C2 though, it's just an exaggerated version of the standard high school swimsuit. Maybe with that knowledge, I don't view it as sexual. But I guess to those unaware ( though I find it hard to believe since characters in the game have the school swimsuit uniforms. ) it can be seen as sexualized. It's just not to me. It's an ugly outfit anyway, I hope they bin it. ( sorry to those who like it. I just can't stand it! )
On a side note, Is anyone familiar with the game "The Bouncer" certain aspects of her fighting style remind me of "Dominique Cross" watch gameplay of her if you're unsure...

Yes. I can confirm that. Marie Rose reminds me a lot of Dominique - also her alternative Outfits.
That´s the reason why I was thinking, she´s a cyborg (maybe). Some moves of Rose are also similiar to Tekken´s Alisa.

I agree with you, locking the thread between loketests and pruning non-info posts would have been the best choice. As the thread stands, any info on Marie gameplay is drowned out in a sea of worthless posts. This was supposed to be an info thread not general discussion and at this point, this thread should be merged with the casual thread.
