The character in the two pictures is the same? What is its source?
However for her C2, Hayashi said that their source of inspiration was Cammy's main outfit mixed with a swimsuit outfit (but without doubt the first picture is really similar to it, I'm not talking about the second one because many gothic outfits - and characters that use them - are portrayed in a pretty similar way).

Katerina Kurae from Seikon No Qwaser. Never heard of it until 15 minutes ago and ironically saw her on youtube and thought she looked very similar to Marie Rose. lol XD

There is nothing of original in the appearence of Marie Rose just because she is meant to be a gothic lolita character, so a streotype of the Japanese culture (I use the word streotype in a good sense).
What is original is that Marie Rose was a kind of character not present in the roster of DoA: personally I really like a similar addition, but of course this is based on the different preference of everyone.

Did a little more digging and found some even more similarities between Marie and "E"katerina (sorry misspelled it earlier):
Both are 147 cm (4'10) and weigh 39kg. Ekaterina is Russian, and even though Marie is Swedish she has a Russian fighting style.
Now granted Ekaterina is 8 years younger than Marie but still, I bet TN drew some inspiration from the character.

One last little interesting fact: Ekaterina's VA Aya Hirano and Marie's VA Mai Aizawa both worked together in the anime "Lucky Star" (which isn't all that surprising since VAs are handpicked in Japan and provide their voice for tons of animes). Still found it cool.

I hope this isn't all her costumes. Everyone I know will be fighting for her default, cause the rest ( in my opinion ) are terrible. Those 2 battlesuit costumes ( which are merely re-colours ) aren't that cool to me. Not too fond of the santa costume on her either. Hopefully you can add that weird poncho thing on the santa costume, cause if you can and it's red- I'm all for it!

I actually practically like all of Ein's clothing. So I don't see the comparison to the only 1 good costume Marie Rose currently has. Guess this boils down to opinion, cause some actually like the battlesuit, and may like the white colour variation more so.
