Vf x.doa seems like a bad idea, now that I've seen the huge advantage vf characters have over DOA characters...I think they shoulda made actual DOA movesets for the vf cast in 5 instead of using the vf mechanics...
Doa charqctwrs have big flowing fluid movements while vf ones have twitchy, jerky movements. It's unsettlibg because they dont match up.

The frame advantage is probably the only problem that needs to be dealt with i believe. I'm not really sure what the folks at VFDC are thinking when it comes to that, but I'm sure things will be worked out (hopefully).
add power blows and power launchers to beach volleyball and make it a competitive viable sports game

Just let each character choose between VF mode and DOA mode. VF mode has more cancelable attacks, semi circulars, better sidestep, and better frames. DOA mode has critical holds and universal low throws.

No no, sure, DOA x VF would feel like a new game (for both sides), but this would be so epic, and that actually makes more sense than Tekken x SF (as much as I want to see it, damn, they are so long!), because of the history of DOA, and because of the similar mechanics.
Tekken x DOA would have been fun (because of the rivalries based on the characters), but hopefully VF x DOA will have rivalries exclusively based on the fighting styles (Sarig, Kokira, Pailena or Pailiot or Paifang, etc.)

Zack needs a Piccolo outfit.
Transferring VF characters into DOA, they kept their VF boons like frame advantage, good low pokes, etc. whilst also gaining DOA abilities like defensive holds. So I say if there's a DOA v VF, the DOA characters get their turn. VF characters remain as they were in VF5FS, and DOA characters get their holds and such + VF-style frame advantage

(I know the voice actor for Piccolo did Jann's voice in DOA1-4) Jann Lee could look like adult Gohan. While Zack looks like Piccolo. 
These are all the best things in existence but I still can't get over the fact that Ayane's reminds me of Tinkerbell. ;-;

I like the idea of DOA having a Zafina-like newcomer, Tekken having a geisha newcomer and VF having an official taekwondo newcomer in the future.
