You people are nuts.
Really? Tn actually gave my boy Zack safe moves on block and hit. Also his data isn't mega retarded. Wait..I forgot to mention DOA5U lacks jumping. That is actually important in 3D fighters. You people are nuts.
-Why are we nuts? You people are nuts.
I can see how they relate.Comparing 5U to 3.1? Come on.
-There is a hell a lot in common with 5U and 3.1. The "Broken" shit that Rachel can do with her ground game is eerily similar to that of Hayate's Dominating ground game technique. The series is making a full circle!Comparing 5U to 3.1? Come on.
That's because they see "stun" game and automatically think doa4.
Also @WHY!? As i said before bounds in deep thresholds makes cb set ups, or strong launcher set up easier. Why there may be better options than the bound you are not obviously going to go for you best options since your opponent will be looking for those the most. Saying "There are better option" is silly since obviously that better option is not guaranteed. This can make the bound option much easier and deadly.
-Actually you are quite incorrect. Many of 3.1 frame traps weren't just from strikes, many of them were from Set-up Holds, Set-up throws, and even from certain stuns. Also there are a few frame traps even from strikes in 5U. What DOA5U have that is like 3.1 is the abundance of set-ups that Guarantee damage. Overall movement is pretty much on par with 3.1, with superior Side stepping in 5U. There is actually a wall game in 5U(Modified version of 3.1's) Another thing, 5U do not have the stun game from DOA4, not at fucking all:5U lacks the frame traps that 3.1 had and it also has the stun game from 4. The similarities are far and few in between. There is no arguing that it is better than 4, but to compare it to 3.1 is just silly.
-I am sorry but some of you guys really need to let go of what DOA4 have done to you.
Well my response to all this i thank you. A character like zack is an example of some 3.1 goodness with his frame tracks and frame advantage.-Actually you are quite incorrect. -I am sorry but some of you guys really need to let go of what DOA4 have done to you. That mindset is holding you back. Many of you are holding 3.1 on a pedestal(which it was rightfully deserved), however, 5U is showing to be just as good or even better than 3.1.
- Stun~Launch is far superior to that of DOA4 and is a lot closer to 3.1 in launch height modifications.
- There are multiple stuns that grant Guaranteed follow-ups(even more so than 3.1).
- There is absolutely no Need to make multiple guesses(taking unnecessary risks) to build threshold(solved by both examples above), which was the major issue with DOA4's stun game.
- Stuns are now broken down into specific categories (instead of DOA4's hold out of everything mechanic). There are Stuns that only allow Stagger Escaping, Critical Holding or No Escaping at all. This provides a level of depth that is no where found in DOA4's stun game.

-Just the mere fact that you said 5U had the same stun game as DOA4 lets me know we are not playing the same game.WHY!? said:Are we playing the same game here? I don't think we are.
-Just the mere fact that you said 5U had the same stun game as DOA4 lets me know we are not playing the same game.
-Out of all the things, you are worrying about, you focus on a "threshold system" which is quite insignificant in comparison to having initial higher stun~launch and stuns with guaranteed damage follow-ups! You sir are missing the bigger picture here.WHY!? said:Well you can ignore that fact all you want, but the threshold system from 4 is still there...
