This DOA5U IMO are looking like Tekken because of the bounce. Imo the game are getting to much bounce.

I'm actually glad that they did this and was one of the people here pushing for more bounds. More bounces = more guarantees. More guarantees = the need for more skill and less guess-work.

I see you point, but I was hoping for a more original way to have guaranteed damage. I agree that doa need less guessing and more guaranteed damage, but a bounce system is present in other fighting games, IMO seems like a generic mechanic for fighting games.
DOA normally try to be more original and a bounce system is not a original think.
But is just my oppinion.

I hate combo games. I have to say that What you are glad actually make DOA become boring. Reading opponents' mind and guessing what they gonna do, then choose how and when to attack or defense or counter. These are the interesting parts of fighting game. Combo is just a bonus.

I mean I guess you could argue the same thing with FT's and ask how it makes sense for someone who is on the ground to suddenly stand up in a stun when you hit them. You may not like the look but it will improve gameplay at a more competitive level.

The problem is...the game is already uneven enough as it is. Certain characters already have the ability to pulling off (or at least have a comparably easier time pull off) a 14 hit combo with the drop of a hatch. This is actually leveling out the playing field.

Look at the discrepancies between characters in DOA 5. In my opinion, each character should, with the right amount of skill, be able to perform similarly to the rest.

It also looks weird when you power launch an opponent and they spin a dozen times in mid-air but I think most people have accepted that and moved on.

Nah, you can't re-bound in Tekken, DoA already has it, actually it's just doesn't work for most characters in vanilla, they're finally fixing dat shit, deal with it.

If they add a superior 8way run, wavedashes, efective backdashing, 236/214 instances, breakable throws....yeah, maybe I'll think about 'looking like Tekken'

In any case, don't mash.
