I remember my first DOA experience like it was yesterday lol. It was DOA 3 not DOA 3.1 sadly but just DOA 3 and i was over my cousins house for the weekend. My uncle had brought it over for us to play.We both took turns doing the command training first then we went HAM! First player i picked was HAYATE... I dont know why i was sooo drawn to him, but my first player was most Definately Hayate. My cousin picked Bayman. I won the first match then he picked jann lee and whooped my ass lol ! It was back and forth for the longest... We played that game soo much it just stop working one day (it had a ring on the disk, i suspect that may have been the reason lol ). Definately one of the most memorable games of my childhood

My first DOA experience was with DOA5 lol, I played Tina and loved her(and her win pose) and main her. CyberEvil asked why I picked her in the first place and I told him I picked her because she seemed like the blonde bombshell of the series which is really the reason why I picked her lol. He just stared at me and just said that's probably the reason why I moved to America just to pick up blonde which might be the case but who knows lol.

DOA1 on PS1 was the first one I played but DOA3 is the most memorable. The graphics dude oh my god, and it had the greatest commercial ever.

DOA2 had a memorable print ad though, and I still remember some of the hilarious dubbing. RASSLIN IS DA BAAAAAADEST.

I didn't really have main characters, I just picked all the chicks with the big boobs. In DOA3 though I used Jann Lee a lot, he was just so boss.

DOA1 when it first came out in arcades in 96' was my first time playing a doa game. My first character of choice was Tina. I have no idea why I picked her. But since then even though she never been my "main" she always been one of the characters I always enjoyed using even up to DOA5. Hayabusa was my second choice. Didn't really stick with him. After that was Kasumi and she became my main up to DOA4.

First DoA was DoA at the arcades. I chose Kasumi in her white and red outfit because I thought she was cute.

I thought it was awesome knocking people onto the danger zones and dem explosions.

Always lost to Hyabusa and his Izuna Drop holds. Didn't even know about the hold mechanic until DoA5. Never played any in-between cause they were xbox exclusives.

First DOA experience? I was about 9 years old and I rented DOA2 for the Dreamcast. I was surprised that the game had multi-tier stages. The Danger Zones were crazy! I used Jann Lee, Zack, and most of the girls the first time I played the game. Then when I got my PS2, I got DOA2: Hardcore for Christmas.

Since then, I started to love DOA since it almost plays similar to Virtua Fighter. I bought these DOA games in order:
DOA Ultimate
DOA3
DOA4
DOA Xtreme 2
DOA Dimensions
DOA 5

DOA5+ will be next on my list.

Mine was DOA3 at around 7-8 years old. I used Kasumi because I didn't know much about anyone else as I [I'll admit it] was a button masher on DOA3. But as I got older I started getting more into the series since I bought my own Xbox 360 and was able to get all of the mainstream DOA games in some variant (DOAU for DOA1 and 2, DOA3, DOA4, DOAD, and DOA5).

My first DOA experince was playing the first DOA back in late 1996.A friend of mine brought me to some hole in a wall arcade/comic book shop some where outside of Milpitas CA.. I was blown away right from the start. The games graphics were awesome at the time.I found the boob physics highly amusing and the game play addictive. I've been a fan girl ever since.

My first DOA experience started with familiar Model 2 hardware... using Gen Fu.

I didn't catch on to the standout female cast until 2-3 minutes later. And even then, I was still using Gen Fu.

Pretty damn weird now that I look back on it.

I was so excited about my Dreamcast and was buying the Official Dreamcast Magazine with the included demo discs. The January 2000 issue had DOA2 as the cover story with Lei-Fang on the cover and the four-page article with beautiful screenshots cemented my love for the game. The next issue was supposed to include a demo and I looked up and down for that issue but it sold-out everywhere and it broke my heart until I found out the local EB Games in the mall had a playable demo. I biked there several times a week just to play it until they took it down. The game came out mid or late March and I got it and the guide for my birthday that month. I still have that issue and guide because they do mean a lot to me, despite my very audible disappointment with the last several games.

I was still in middle school at the time not too long from when I was out of elementary school.. I had a demo disc for the Dreamcast that contained a playable demo of Dead or Alive 2. I was only limited to Kasumi's story with only 3 fights playable (against Alpha, Ayane, and Ein) all cutscenes included. I was hooked on this game and knew that I had to get my hands on it. I went to my friend's house next door and laid eyes on a full copy of DoA2.

My friend was cool enough to let me borrow it. I took that puppy home and played it day in and day out for months. Being as young as I was, I easily fell in love with the entire female cast. I still remember practicing Hayabusa's Izuna Drop for hours on end and could never get it to come out in a real match. The character which attracted me the most was none other than Jann Lee. At that point, he became one of my all time favorite fighting game characters in history for his strong Bruce Lee vibes and epic WATAAAAAA yells XD

Ever since, I've become a hardcore DoA fanatic and played nearly every DoA title that came up afterward. Unfortunately I missed out on Ultimate, I never knew Hardcore existed, I don't have a 3DS to play Dimensions on, and I've always hated DoAXBV/DoAX2 with the red hot burning intensity of a thousand suns for tarnishing the image of my most influential fighting game franchise. That hatred still burns strong too :U

So there you have it. Cool story, bro :T

My first was DOA2 for Sega Dreamcast. There was a demo of it on one of those demo discs (had Ayane, Ein and Kasumi playable, each with 3 fights against CPU only). I guess I would have been 5 or 6 at the time. The epic fight between Kasumi and Hayabusa is what sold me (which at that time used "Blazed Up Melopheme," Helena's theme). When I got the game, I was instantly drawn to Hayabusa because of that fight, but I also played Ayane quite a bit (experience from using her in the demo), as well as Leon (who was just badass). That game just felt so right to me. Been a fan of the series ever since.

Funny, that's my same story. Only I'd always pick Ein. I think I'd always fight Helena.

My first exposure to DOA was with videos of 4 on Youtube. Not having a massive interest in fighting games for most of my early gaming years probably saw to that. With SC4, Blazblue, and MVC3 getting me interested, I looked on Youtube for DOA4 videos... and I think I only saw competitive hold-fests and graphics that I wasn't really impressed with, so I kept the series in mind, but not having an HD console kept me from even considering buying it (Xbox-exculsive killed it more). Then 5 was announced not long after I bought my PS3. I did all the necessary background research, and I bought it on release day (not pre-order). I crammed through Story Mode as quick as I could, and loved every second of it (well, not the last fight so much...). I managed to get some friends into playing it, and we all just mash through most of it, but I stick it out with Mila. It's so satisfying when I manage to knock my friend's Jann Lee off his feet, then jump on and punch his face in AND THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO STOP ME!

DOA1 was my first DOA and I was probably less than 10 years old that time. I used Tina (gotta love those bitchslap holds) and Ayane (Aya was a better theme than Tehu Tehu for me) a lot back then.

All changed by DOA2 when they introduced Helena, Blazed Up Melpomene and the Great Opera. I was sad when the series got monopolized for Xbox so I never gotten to play DOA3, DOAX, DOA4 and DOAX2. I was thankful for DOAP, DOAD and of course, DOA5/DOA5U after Itagaki left.
