DOA tones down the execution difficulty because you need to adapt your combos constantly. The way how it's done is good. DOA's execution is by no means "unfair".

Indeed they are. Just not equally so. Some characters are super easy.... most air easy and the rest......... looking at you Eliot !!!!

No matter what character you use, the execution is never overbearing to the point of being "unfair". Eliot's execution is nothing special. Phase-4 & Hayabusa are still harder than him. Perform a Mishima or Hwoarang in TTT2, then come back to DOA5LR to put things in perspective.

I've never permormed a single Combo in Tekken.

Anyway I'm still unclear on what Fairness has to do with Execution.

You haven't described how DOA's combos are "unfair". Do you want TN to institute "Auto-Combos" like Persona 4 Arena?

Thats because I don't think their Unfair.

Fairness is not a factor I think of under the context of excution.

And whats wrong with "Auto-Combos" ? Sounds like fun idea to me.

Auto-combos are fucking terrible. Strips any difficulty or prestige from performing them.

Combos are fun but they are not the reason why I play Fighting Games.

I assumed thats the case for everybody.

That's actually the same for me, and is the reason I prefer 3D fighters over 2D fighters. With that said, the execution difficulty in 3D fighters is fair.

And thats why I'm still skeptical about Street Fighter V being "easy".

In street fighter V their are multiple characters that can pull off big damage without doing a 20 hit combo Laura, necalli, r.mika and birdie can all do 6-9 hit combos that do just as much as those 15-22 hit combos Cammy and chun can do but the characters with lower combo numbers have fairly simple execution and it does take a whole bunch of canceling like cammy and chun

But don't get me wrong Laura necalli etc they can go for those big flashy combos that go up to 16 hits they just have easier options

Capcom is trying to make SFV less about execution and more about reading your opponent and having a great strategy
