How is it bullshit if people are pleased with the character that they are given?

so, this is going to be broken down into a few comments, because I like to write. You ready? let's go:

All try to be as clear as I can. I would also like to make clear that I'm not trying to attack anyone, people are free to like whatever they want and make their preferences known if they so choose.

I think this whole issue is a text-book example of why people shouldn't try to make campaigns. Tengu had a dedicated following. They cared. They truly cared. From what I have seen, about 5 people really WANTED that character back and they were putting the effort for it.

Them "people" got wind of it and it turned into something moderately huge. Maybe that was the turning point where it turned from a "dream of a dedicated fan base" to "something worth considering" in TN's book. The catch is that a huge part of this "movement" didn't care. It was just the flavor of the week.

Comes the new character. And tits. "Everyone" rejoices, because she licks her fucking lips or whatever, but the people that had this idea, that where fighting for this character in the first place, don't seem all too pleased. This adds insult to injury because Nyo basically cements Tengu as dead. His move set has been passed and he has no reason to exist in the game now.

I get that the character pleased a lot of people, and I'm happy for you. But I'm not happy for the people that had their efforts pissed on.

And you know, sex sells, we all know it. It is just sad to see everyone loosing their shit for a pair of tits.

Just my two cents on this matter. I don't personally care about old Tengu or new Tengu. I just think what TN did was incredibly disrespectful, but the community reaction "justified it all" by giving the people what they apparently want. Tits. No matter the cost.

(goddamn, the character limit for these comments could really be a bit larger, so I don't have to break an argument into this many comments ever again. I also looked to the left just know and noticed I'm 26... depressing stuff)

Pleased a mass majority over a dedicated minority.
Most of those in the minority are becoming quite fond of this new character.
