From what I hear Dead or Alive is more aggressive. Tekken I use to use the hardest character Lei Wulong. Then switched him for Marshall Law(huge Bruce Lee fan lol). I once tried getting into VF but wasn't for me. My favorite 3D Fighter is of course the DoA series. Though my favorite fighting game series is MK then second SF lol.

Probably might not be character related but it does seem hard to open people up with these types of character especially after I got beaten badly by an Ayane player last night. It is a bit frustrating.

That's also you not knowing how to fight certain characters. You just picked the game up right? You can't expect to use the same tactics on all characters. Depending on the character you are using there is a certain way you have to fight certain characters.

Also its good that you are having a hard time opening people up because it means you dont know how to use the characters tools. Instead of switching to a character that will hold your hand through the game you should stick with characters that help you develop good skills to have as a player.

If you plan on using Kasumi, Hayate, Ein, Kokoro, or Hitomi let me know. Especially if you are using Kasumi, Hayate or Ein. I will show you everything you need to know; then you can work from there.

And yeah Tenryuga I did just pick the game up But I did play past DoA games. Well at the moment I am using Jann Lee for the time being. It did seem difficult to do anything against Ayane and would get punished a lot. If I wake up kick I get countered. The player seemed to adapt to what I was doing.

I was planning on using Kasumi but I am very unsafe with her and from what I read she is really unsafe too. Hayate I have problems doing those certain motions with the grab.

Right. So if you noticed that it just means you need to stop doing that. Just like they adapt to what you at doing you have to do the same. It's easier said than done but trust me as you play it will come to you.

I can help you correct Kasumi. For Hayate if the grab is Raijin you dont need to use that grab. Use Nakiryu or juggle off of the throw. I'll show you next week.

If you can help me with Kasumi I would really appreciate it. I seem to have been picked up a lot of bad habits so far. One of them is abusing the counter and always doing wake up kicks. And mashing pppp in. This is what leads to trouble cause I then get countered. I have to stop doing a lot of this stuff.
