Hi everybody!
So as some of you may be aware, I have been regularly streaming DOA5U and other related material (NG3, Yaiba, etc). As of right now DOA5U has a regular schedule on Tuesdays (PSN) and Thursday (XBOX) starting at 8p eastern to 10pm (however, if you tuned in you know I usually run longer than expected).
Anyhoo, what I've been doing on said days are INVITE ONLY Tournament lobbies and reasons for that are.
1. Tournament is good for exhibition purposes, meaning you are not always gonna be matched against someone you can't beat.
2. This gives people a little more freedom to try alternate characters they've been working on. I personally hate being in a lobby when one player is dominating and I have to use my main to eek out a win.
3. You get time to run to the bathroom, make a sandwich, text, etc.
4. We get a change of pace in match ups to keep the stream interesting.
As far getting to the lobby, on PSN I've accepted Friend Request from players interested and when I boot up I check whose available and start from there. I'm not against letting stream viewers participate as well.
XBL as long as I receive a msg from any player, its pretty easy to get them in.
What I've found is when people join, they've had chances to play with people that they don't normally run into and as far as I can tell everyone is willing to answer any questions if they can. Which in turn I find VERY HELPFUL to the DOA Community as a whole.
