So this basically describes my night.

Hayabusa is becoming a little easier for me now. The guy gets ridiculous amounts of damage off of nothing but a simple guess which is absolutely wonderful. Frankly, I believe that Ryu is most likely top 10, maybe top 5. The reason really revolves around his safe(ish) forced guess situations coupled with his comeback factor.

These safe forced guess situations are like 4K or 6PK4 on block. These can't be throw punished because 6PK itself is actually safe and when you transition into ongyoin, you duck out of the range of throws, allowing you to run a mix-up between parrying all highs and mids or scaring people into submission by putting Ongyoin 6P+K on the board. Eventually people start to block and this allows you to play with your teleport attacks and Ongyoin T (which is the most bad ass grab in the game period).

With 6P+K4/Ongyoin 6P4, 33P4, and 66K it's even better because he's at frame advantage or neutral rather than just safe. With this he can play a more aggressive role, especially against slower characters.

Now put that together with his damage factor (High stun value, moderately high damage juggles as well as guaranteed damage, high damage advanced punch holds, high damaging throws, moderately high wall damage) and Ryu becomes an ideal character.

I still have things to work on though (like working his guaranteed CB and 4H+K, 666P into my stun game and mastering his senko izunas). I'm satisfied though for now.
