So, Halloween costumes. Some good designs here, and overall I like a lot of MILA BEE EIN STRIPPER TN HATES MALES THEY'RE ALL BAD FUCK TN HAWHEEHAWHEEHAWHEEHAW!!

I already knew mila was getting a bee costume and washedy hands of it.

Leons costume is okay I'll get it but never use it. Lisa and Helena are cool

Leon's outfit reminds me of a Breaking Bad moment. You are in Home stage and what goes in there makes people believe it's a meth lab, but little do they know that it was something far more interesting than that.

@Xhominid The Demon Within Contrary to that Kokoro's Sherlock Holmes costume and some others were not on the same level as some that have one. No offense to the artists, they were just less polished. They aren't picking purely based on artistic talent.

If people care they should still submit. For the record, for the first two contests, neither of my entries got posted for voting... Doesn't mean I can't still appreciate everyone else's work, or need to get worked up over it. Stuff happens.

Then there's no point for anyone except for those who have good artist's skills to even bother anymore.
It's basically rigging of the highest order and it ruins any chance of those who actually want to try and get their name into the game for the sake of virtual favoritism.

Shit, when you can have someone stuff the ballets and get 5-6 costumes in the game by ONE artist from TN, why should anyone else even bother to try after that?

Your best bet is to design a male outfit next time. When I picture Tarzan Ein's concept art I imagine a stick figure with a brown rectangle covering his...

1. The fact that they chosed 3 costumes from the same artist actually proves that they wanted the best costumes for their community, no matter who drew them. Quality over anything. Also, a lot of people reacted to these drawings when they were posted, which means they were happy about it. Guess TN cannot satisfy all the babies that fill this community.

I can't speak for everyone who's disappointed with the male costumes but for me I was looking forward to my favorite male characters Ein, Bayman, amd Hayabusa. What I see in front of me right now was not worth the wait. I understand that's a risk of the contest but that doesn't make the costumes worse or better.

So yeah I'm upset. I'm really disappointed. Oops! There I go again, community strike two. But this is the third Halloween pack and they're still not up to snuff so, to ME, this is strike 3 for Team Ninja. I think I'm gonna go back to taking a break from DOA and its community for awhile, cuz I mean... Come on! This pack is SO not worth a purchase and why would you pay 2-3 bucks for this crap? How! It's so frustrating; people are gonna buy these costumes which are just the same shit we usually get in a different pile. We're voting for more of this stuff when we buy it. I dunno if I want to support a game that operates like this. I understand it's also Koei. I'm all up to speed, my shining-knight friends. I don't care why they are doing this. I care THAT they are doing this. Oh well. Maybe I'm being dramatic. (Naw haha).

None of these "good" costumes are for characters i play or care about. Except Ayane hers might be the only one I get, I thought I liked Hitomis until I saw the whole thing...

So I have every right to be angry because my main once again gets fucked DLC wise.

I suppose this is very subjective.

This costume is 10 times better than her last bikini.

I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but I liked her bikini better. The hat felt in character, and if she were relaxing at a summer beach house (which, given how rich she is, probably does from time-to-time), it's something I could see her wearing. It strangely fit her character for once.

I won't get into it on this one since I know some artist probably worked very hard on it, but I don't care for it.

Congrats to @Kodachi for getting in two costumes and congrats to the one designer that got in like 3 or 4(?) costumes? Wow. XD

Even though there are many costumes that I don't personally like, I feel like Team Ninja really put a lot of thought and effort in those. All seem to be very detailed, varied and there are hardly any real swaps. High Elf Kasumi and Dark Elf Phase4 do actually make sense.

Some costumes will be wins some won't, but some are continually upset about these. This is one of the more unique and detailed batches we've seen, so how is this much of a loss to garner so much frustration.

Having Hayabusa not have some stupid shit on his head would be a good start. The amount of Hayabusa fans who want crap like that versus the number who don't have to be a minority. I'll admit this one is better than last year's oni costume he got (and before that, it was the notorious mummy!). But even so... ugh.

EIN to have DLC Tha isn't slutty,sexualised or lazy would be nice. Only one that fits that description is the Deception DLC and the only ein costume I've bought since LR dropped.

I guess, without numbers, majority or minority, not everyone can be pleased. Hyabusa's default costumes are alone are the pinnacle of his character. With him getting about two costumes a year, isn't much other direction than wacky.

Fair enough, that feels like a minority's minority since as someone mentioned he and Rig are the only variables that TN is willing to work with and with Ein already being low on the totem pole that just means that'll take even more work to increase community preference for TN to change their mindset. As with Brute's instance, making Ein normal ticks off one fan base, but doing what they are is obviously ticking off another.

I don't know what to suggest other than it seems like some expectations appear unrealistic for what TN will ever do with this iteration of DOA.

I am mostly disappointed with texture and clipping errors this time. Ein is cool with me because he won't have those issues. But the elf costumes have clippings with their weapons and ears, some of the textures are very very flat. I am unimpressed with many male costumes. A lot of the colors are unappealing or just don't seem to work like they did in the artist's work, such as Mila's bee and Eliot's "musketeer". I could only pick out a handful that I like. I love Helena's, but in the end the constant clipping of that skirt with hers hands and legs will be very annoying.

@RetroMe91 if there were a technical issue clipping would probably be one of my top ones too, but it's soooooo expensive to change that until the game industry has auto generating code for clipping it just won't be changing anytime soon. Yep, it's glaring visually, but it takes intentional blinders to get around that.
