Hitomi is the daughter of a Japanese mother and a German karate master. She has been practicing karate under her father's tutelage since she was just a child. Hitomi has always wanted to fight in DOA in order to test her formidable skills against the real world, and her father has finally allowed her to participate. "There must be many powerful opponents in this world," Hitomi tells herself, as she begins practicing her craft with a new degree of enthusiasm.

Hitomi is similar to Ein, though her shorter limbs make her slightly worse at fighting from afar. What she lacks in at long range she makes up for at close range.

Compared to Ein she generally has more attack string options (her :3::K::P: jab string stands out in particular), and her :6::F+P: frame advantage throw can make her scary to fight against.
