[template=doa3-character-select]selected=ayane[/template] [template=text-box-h2]title=Story | align=left[/template] Ayane is a half-sister of Kasumi and Hayate. Ayane's former teacher and foster parent, Genra, then leader of the Mugen Tenshin style in Hajin Mon, has disappeared. Ayane, now the most powerful Shinobi in Hajin Mon, learns that Genra has been turned into a puppet by DOATEC and its dastardly Omega Project. Seeing what has become of her beloved father figure, Ayane realizes that fate commands her to put Genra out of his misery. [template=text-box-h2]title=Gameplay | align=left[/template] [URL='https://www.freestepdodge.com/wiki/frame-data-doa3-ayane/']Movelist and frame data[/URL] One of Ayane's key features is her ability to move and fight even while in a backturned state. Ayane's :4::F+P: gives her a guaranteed :4::P: launch if she lands it, making it a very good throw for damage and wall-carry. Her :4::P: is among the most evasive moves in the game, and anyone fighting her always has to be on guard that she could throw it out at any moment. Should the move be blocked or not land a counter-hit, she still has follow-up options, though any character with an 11-frame mid should easily be able to shut this down. Her :1::1: is a unique backdash command that does not put her in a high counter state, making her able to back away from opponents much more safely than most other characters. Holding :1_: during the move lets her enter her backturned stance. Ayane can easily deal with wakeup kicks by using either her :9::K: or her backturned :8::K:, both of which can jump over mid wakeup kicks.
