Blazblue and even Super Smash Bros. Brawl have, but I don't think any 3D fighter has had a good story. DOA is probably the best I can think of.

On the Soul Calibur 5 note, SC5 is the best game in the series balance wise, hands down. There is no denying that whether they cut characters or not. It's the most competitive SC game yet.

And that's why you end up with games that don't sell. AKA VF. So I tell people I dare them to say MK is a niche game. When they've had great experiences with story telling since the beginning.

Well actually the week before the DLC Casuals Vol.2 n Japan was released i the Ultimate swimsuit outfit, a DLC relased before for the rest of the world that was unable to get the Collector's Edition including these outfits. This week happened exactly the opposite, with the Warriors Orochi outfits, DLC released in Japan long time ago.
Considering this, since the Sports Gear DLC the DLC schedule presented a new pack every weeks. Anyway it's also true that Team Ninja was able to make it through the release of old DLC packs (Pop Idols, Ultimate Swimsuits and Warriors Orochi), so in the end Team Ninja continued to do what made since the beginning: to release a new DLC pack every 2 weeks.
Personally I think that maybe next week we could see a new DLC pack, then the release of Kasumi's Ragnarok outfit for Ps3 and Xbox (this time maybe not free) ,and then another DLC pack. After this we will return definitely to DLC released only after 2 weeks.
Surely I think that soon we will have a Christmas DLC (with Santa outfits for the DoA5U new releases): if TN will make what I said over, this will come surely next week but anyway I'm not compleely sure of the schedule that I hypothesized.
About the Casual Pack Volume 3, personally from the words of Chin seemed me to understand that it couldn't be not exist, and that instead will be released a different pack with the characters that should have been included there (so Ryu, Leifang, Tina, Zack, Jann Lee, Bass, Helena and Leon). Considering that are all veterans of DoA, the hypothesis of a pack of classic outfits it's not excluded, but again this only if my interpretation is right (the twitter message was left vague).

I think that's the problem. Zack's traded much of his rough-and-tumble DJ defaults for clown costumes, alien bodysuits, and two decent non-DLC costumes (C1 and C2). He's... cleaner, for lack of a better term. Given his old wardrobe, it's not really a good thing, although you could see it as him cleaning up to be Helena's right-hand man. That doesn't explain the clown/alien overflow, though.

I miss Badass but Quirky DJ Zack, while what we have now is Goofy Comic Relief Zack, and that's it.

Well, you can't blame the alien suits on DOA5 Zack, he's had them since the very beginning lol
And I've always seen Zack as a comic-relief character, or has anyone forgotten the DOA2 Zack + Tina the meerkat/DOA3 ending/DOA4 "why climb a tower? because it's there!" and his DOA4 ending?
