I was expecting either more content in the pack or a lower price to be on the DLC promo. Alarming trends with the DLC pricing on this game. Using American dollars and PS4 store for pricing -

Season Pass 1: 62 costumes w/ 2 new characters - $92.99
Season Pass 2: 72 costumes w/ new character - $79.99
Season Pass 3: 53 costumes w/ new character - $79.99
Season Pass 4: 50 costumes w/ new character - $89.99

Season 1 is kind of odd because it has 2 new characters but, the other seasons are easy to compare because only real difference between the other seasons is the number of costumes you get for you money. Putting aside the common complaint that all these packs are more expensive than the game itself.... There was over a 25% reduction in content between seasons 2 and 3 for the same price; priced by item then you can see there was a price hike. Now, factor in season 4, not only is there a further reduction in content but they also raised the price even further.

With the rate they are putting out costumes, and the large price tags they have, I was expecting to see some of that money put back into the game at this point. Some kind of effort to keep the game feeling fresh for those people that buy all this. With the hype they built up this time I genuinely expected to see improvements to the the ground game complaints and a new stage or two....or at least an announcement that one was coming soon.

Granblue Fantasy Versus release is almost here and after that I won't have time to keep waiting to TN to do something so I think this will be my last post here at least until the next gen version.

I think after all these months we were able to understand each other so even if I dropped the game it was fun to be here all this time. If someone want to play SC VI or GFV sometime on PS4 I will be there.

Let's hope the next gen version can be fun for everyone.

Just amazes me that people buy these? Me and my wife just get one or two costumes!

That’s why I didn’t buy the pass. Just when I was about to buy it I just thought about how much money it is

It really saddens me to see what DOA has become. A fighting game series that is truly special to me and helped me through several of my most difficult years. To see it reduced to a lame cashgrab with no respect to its male cast and its own legacy and players is a low blow. I've been on and off DOA6 for a while but this might just be what finally makes me decide to go back to an MMO I've wanted to play for a while or pay actual attention to the neverending backlog of TV shows and other games I have to play.

I'll probably care again if they rerelease it next gen with actual "many contents" like the missing legacy characters and other male fighters and stages.

What's in this pass that's worth hyping it so much for? The design contest costumes (that btw didn't even bother adding some pack for the males in, RIP everyone who made an entry with a male costume design)? The new DOAXVV collab character that at first wasn't even gonna be added but they decided to go for it cause they need the $$$ after their game floppin' like its a blind ass person doing ice skating? The ugly ass gold recolor for their first DLC pack that makes the girls look like they did a cheap Ferrero Rocher cosplay??? Girl ALL of this pass is nothing but a MESS and I'm glad I didn't buy into their cheap strategy of hyping this shit up!!!

I guess they are at a point where they feel comfortable lying to sell a few more season passes. My expectations were definitely not met with 1.18.

I'll still cover tournaments but I'm done playing until the new girl comes out. I've whooped enough ass for now with Rachel and Tina.

They hyped up the update and, ngl, I was actually excited to see what they were releasing. Then reality hits. I don't know why I had my hopes up.

Exactly this. If it didn't work TN would never focus so much on this DLC bs. Just look at the fighting aspect of DOA6. TN barely thinks of it because it didn't work and not many people care so TN doesn't need to care. DOA failed to succeed as a fighter but TN found that DOA people LOVE to buy DLC costumes. So they released DOA6 as a "new" game just so they can start selling costumes again. I wouldn't be surprised if my conspiracy theory was true. DOA6 is just the vehicle used to sell something that is more successful.

I know I like saying that fighting games should focus on catering to their fans and ignore the haters but this is not what I meant TN.

As long as KT is around, that's the unfortunate side effect to what you are getting. What KT does is what TN will follow. It's literally how the game is marketed.

Blame the root and source. You fix the root so that it grows and stems new branches. TN isn't solely to blame here to be fair.
