Koei Tecmo's underrated Atelier Saga franchise has finally been announced for XBOX after over 20 years of being on the NA market, and to make things even better, Team NINJA's complete Dead or Alive franchise is on sale for XBOX players. There are still some important games missing from XBOX including PS5 exclusive Rise of the Ronin, Nioh & recently announced Fairy Tail, but this is an improvement over what was. Atelier being included on XBOX systems is a direct response to the surveys that Koei Tecmo provides players.
The complete Dead or Alive collection on XBOX proves the value the system had with players:
Atelier's presence on XBOX was due to high demand and also because of survey participation. The latest Saga in the Atelier franchise is titled Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land and while that may be a mouthful to remember; what you will remember is the relaxing times and enjoyable RPG gameplay from this underappreciated but loved franchise. Ryza was able to put the Atelier franchise on the map better than any game in the franchise, and Team NINJA's involvement with the Atelier Gacha title has helped with consistency.
Let's hope that in the future we see more games from Koei Tecmo on XBOX and that we see more care attached to that system in general. Not everyone has the time, the money or the desire to be in every single ecosystem; so, it's nice when developers try to make it easier for the players involved with buying their games. Koei Tecmo was panned earlier last year for not including Ryza and a plethora of other games on XBOX. Improvements are seen from Koei Tecmo with this title and other big titles coming soon such as Dynasty Warriors: Origins.
