The official Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown thread

Now keep this in mind: This game has the following... Rollback Netcode, a first in the series. 4K Resolution. New Gameplay Changes (The PS4 and Arcade versions will also have it as well). I do hope it's Steam Deck verified so that I can play it on the go.

As I've mentioned before, Seiji Aoki (current producer of VF) said that Rollback Netcode will be the future of Virtua Fighter. But rest assured, other consoles and PC is a possibility. EDIT: Actually, Rooflemonger made a video about this.

First of all: I HATE EILEEN! DAMN YOU, TRICKY! Second, we now know that VF6 is one of the two games that is further in development since I believe it started after VF5US was released. Now it's just a matter of when we get a trailer since it's due for this year.

In another update, Midori isn't going anywhere. She will continue to use the account.

This was posted last week by Midori, but we might be seeing a VF reveal sometime this year. Now it's only a matter of "when and where". UPDATE: Midori will no longer be using this account. Thanks to her, at least I know there's a new VF coming.

Street Fighter x Tekken as well. Remember the DLC fiasco that hit. Also the Wii U came out, Ninja Gaiden 3 didn't do so well until Razor's Edge came out, the list goes on. Either way, the point is this: Just wait and see on what happens for the new VF title. Until we see a trailer or gameplay...

If you watched why SC5 failed on What Happened, you already know that 2012 was a terrible year for video games overall. But again, the AM2 team that worked on VF5FS and VF5US will be working on this. On top of that, Odashima was also credited for VF5US as a planner.

There's more. Daishi Odashima should sound familiar to you all since he was a game director for the SoulCalibur series from SC3 to SC5. He left Bandai Namco in 2013 for SEGA.

Since VF5 is ending on a cliffhanger storyline-wise because Lau has an incurable disease that might cause him death, it's unclear if he'll live or not. Rebooting the storyline with a brand new story might be the way to go IMO. As for gameplay and roster, I hope they retain the entire cast from...

@Rob Yeah, Tricky has been training a lot of Eileen players. But thankfully it wasn't her. It was another player that learned much from her.

Yeah, I was gonna bring that up. This was a day after The Game Awards since VF was brought up. The challenge about making a new VF is that they want to make sure to keep the core elements of VF, but at the same time they want to draw in new players by creating a "dramatic" effect with their...

Yeah. In Japan, the Japanese VF community created a league specialized for VF3tb events. It's been going on for years, and it's quite popular in Mikado Arcade.

At 4:37 Yeah. Back then, it was split between VF2 players and VF3 players. It was evident during the Athena Cup/Beat-Tribe Cup era of the Mid-Late 90s. I recall 3rd Strike had a similar situation especially since SF3: New Generation wasn't received well at the time, along with 2nd Impact. 3rd...

At the time, it was considered the black sheep of the VF series. But since 2014, there has been a resurgence with the game since various tournaments were held. They even have their own league for it. Hell, even Mochi-A competes in VF3tb. In addition, we also hold events in the US for this game...

Announced earlier tonight: SEGA is releasing Virtua Fighter 3tb Online for arcades. True to the name, VF3tb Online includes online play on the APM3 using the same features from the Arcade Version of VF5US. You also now have the option to swap music to the Arrange BGM, which was first featured on...
