  • while I was never the biggest fan of PB's and PL's, offensive mechanics give you new ways to interact with the environment are truly the best fit for DOA, so id like to see PB and PL return in some fashion

    preferably w/o the half life restriction and no need to charge it up; have it like a cancelable special you can tack on any string (think Mai/Kula special cancels but more flexible), but you'd still restricted to once per round, that'd be balanced, i think? if not balanced it'd at least be fun lol

    Honkai Star Rail looks dope, and that latest Arknights trailer actually piqued my interest,

    Unfortunately I can only afford one gacha obsession at a time so imma skip both of them =,(

    Star Rail's a lot of fun, they managed to make their turn-based combat fun to the point where 4-stars also feel almost or just as strong as 5-stars of the game (though obviously every character has a specific role in the team).

    Rewards, farming and qol-wise they seem better than Genshin (kinda the same model banner and shopwise) but this is the first patch of the game, Genshin was also quite generous during launch, so it might end up being as ungenerous as Genshin in the long run so if you're not a fan of how the latter team handles their game then I'd say wait with Star Rail if you want to try out the game in the future.

    So when will the start making their violence "more realistic" (aka with violence inline with MKvsDC and taking blood & gore away aka their selling point through out 30 Years) just to appeal countries like Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Ukraine, & Uzbekistan for examples? I'm more curious if Warner Bros Discovery plan on selling the MK franchise to EA? (these guys know how to handle their developers)
    this might be too early to call but the Drive system in SF6 isn't as intrusive as I thought it would be

    Yes the mechanics that the system enables are strong, but the fact that you get punished for overuse and you can't reliably build D-gauge outside of auto regen is a good balance
    Trinity Trigger; the game you play because Square is taking it's sweet time with the next Seiken Densetsu and you need something to tide you over

    that aside it is a very comfy action JRPG and I highly recommend it
    I played DOA5 religiously for 7 years how the PHUCK, did I not know there was an interactable half wall on the 2nd floor of the ice stage till now lol

    - That jumping P from Rachel is a sitdown stun that's extremely huge in stun, and if you do that in that other stage with the sandbag you can launch into the tank behind you.
    - Jacky has a completely new move that doesn't exist even in VF for his while landing P. I'd imagine they'd have to think of something for an extremely niche mech.

    And many more. While niche in itself, I thought it was fun in it's own way.

    despite how niche it is, i wouldn't mind for it to come back, just make it available on more than 2 stages, hell they did the same thing with cliffhangers, got this smexy new environmental mechanic that got hella showcased in the early trailers then they proceed to make only 2-3 stages that accommodate it

    Nintendo might of spoiled the big twist of BTOW 2 with their new trailer, which is the exact same thing they did with Mario +Rabbids 2, guess Nintendo's like "oh who cares, you nerds will pay full price for it anyway, now fork over the cash!"

    I mean we will but dam, a few surprises would be nice :/

    You do realize the reason why Sakura was considered as "useless" because everyone was whining and had hard-ons for #10.
    Genuine fear for Tenkaichi 4, that game is going to RUIN controllers, we all know that modern day controllers are put together with prit stick and cardboard so how the hell are they going to withstand all the mashing and stick twirling that's a staple of those games?
    hoping back between DOA4, 5, and 6 makes me realize that I don't hate force tech as much as I thought I did, but if they bring it back I do wish there was some regulation as to how it worked

    like how some characters have reliable access to FT while others need to land some JF BS or they only get them in very specific situations, scrap dat noise

    also if i've launched my opponent and gotten dmg on them, I should lose oki; isn't that fighting game 101? if you go for dmg, you lose oki, if you go for oki, you lose dmg, giving players access to both at all times just seems like ignorant design imo

    the fact that they doubled the meter just so you can play around with the new mechanics is crazy, but it's the type of crazy I like, can't wait to play this again and start fullscreen dashing into low-medium-special-supering fools to death lol

    it didn't work for Mythra in Smash Bros and it sure as hell ain't working for Ashley in RE4 remake, you only made them sexier you fools!

    my biggest question regarding this update is how viable will the ss mechanic be, and from the looks of it not only can you ss specials (and presumably supers) you can also ss mediums (and presumably heavies), although if i recall whiff canceling is a thing in FEXL, and the retracking looks strong so making things whiff with ss might not be all that powerful, but we'll have to wait and see

    There are a lot of changes that are made to this game, to the point where I don't know if this footage is from a brand new game that they're making or they're massively updating the old one, did someone confirm that this is an update to the old game or a brand new one?
