    1st hour impressions: Kinda shocked that I stole a game considering I don't play GG at all. But so far the beta's solid. I'm still not sold on whether I would grind this game seriously or nah. Anime fighters and games like this aren't really my forte.

    I think at this point, I just feel unmotivated to go and grind another game from the ground up only to lose many times, barely progress if ever and endure more frustration. Maybe casually I might pick it up or something. I love how it plays online. But after sucking in T7, SFV, DOA 5 & 6, SC VI, MK11 etc, I'm just too down to go through another downhill slope.

    Saw the MK trailer. It looks solid but I can't believe MK missed the opportunity to put my favorite character Akuma in that joint. Akuma too legendary to not be in that film.

    Ngl, that V-shift mechanic is solid. But my biggest fears is 1. players will just use it as get out of jail keep my pressure, instead of an actual defensive option, 2. More V meter = more opportunities to use it, 3. Does it cost 1 bar or half a bar and 4. is it punishable. After that it's good. SFV did need more defensive options.

    The scalper nonsense is still going on man. I just went to Amazon to check the price of the 3070 and them joints were at minimum $1000.. This is ridiculous man. 1st the console launch was a disaster and now GPU's gotta be like this.

    Leave it to 2k for being the only game where I would rather play it on console than PC. It's like the dev's don't even care anymore.

    It's more complete. The PC version got mad bugs and glitches that they never ironed out. The Ball be floating at random times, the my player gets pixilated as if the joint got a bad scan, the game's audio cuts off at times, and the game be freezing at random times. Like they just put NBA 2k20 on 2k21 and didn't optimize it at all. Plus graphically, w/ all the great GPU's and stuff that can run at next gen.....

    They opt to run it graphically at current gen. Like they didn't care about the PC version at all. Game came out in like August/September, I buy it recently and I see these bugs and glitches still....

    I've tried it with Smash 64, DOA++ and Blade Strangers, it works fine, it's a nice alternative for games that straight up don't have online capabilities, can't really say if its an alternative to bad netcode though, never bothered to compare, but i'm sure some1 bored enough has done all that research

    After testing out tourneys for every modern fighter, I can honestly say that I suck at all of them.

    Maybe in the PS5 generation, I'll hopefully be at most meh at fighting games. But right now, I'm hot, steamy, marinated garbage. Back to Yakuza I guess. Maybe I won't suck at that game.

    Tried to play DOA, got freed up yet again. Back to the shadowrealm for me. Maybe in the next DOA I'll be at least mediocre.

    I know this has been highly debated but I think these comeback mechanics been a huge bust.

    Coming from the sports world, it's like you losing by 20 in basketball and instead of making a comeback through hard work and adjustments, the hoop gets bigger so you have better opportunities to score. Tekken 7 right now epitimizes horrible comeback mechanics, especially if you fight certain characters. I always hated comeback mechanics and it's no different here. Thoughts?

    Almost stole one from Binchang but choked. Feel like I'm getting better as I progress. :) PC grind has been giving me good sets I wouldn't get on PS4. Hopefully in due time I can make top 32 in a tourney.

    Played TTT1 on an emulator today. It was so much different from T7. I enjoyed it a lot, though I forgot everything.

    Was tied for 49th in the 2nd real week of ICFC season. Still drowned in pools but much better than week 1. But ngl, I miss playing Hwoarang in tournaments.

    Tekken ranked is so bad man. Tekken ranked is what happens when a game is made for people who don't like the game. Why bother playing and grinding when players can just shortcut the experience with hacks, plugs, during the game frame data and the devs do nothing about it except cater to them more.

    It even worse cause this isn't even a super hard tekken to play casually. T5 was way worse. Now, you have armor moves, Rage comeback mechanics, characters that can almost move for you, all over the place balancing, moves that hit at range 3, crazy CH's and it's still not enough to keep players from shortcutting the experience. It's super frustrating.

    Playing on PC vs PS4 feels like night and day the more I play both. I'm kinda glad I made the switch. I just gotta hope for a better GPU soon.

    Yeah, people have told me the same when at events that have had both PS4 and PC. It's like you go from a few hours on PC then jump to PS4 and all of a sudden you're playing an entirely different game.

    I felt that way with TFC in 2019. The only thing was after, because I still wasn't on PC yet, I just got back on PS4 like nothing was different. But playing back to back on that joint, execution on games feels much different. Hopefully 2021, PC becomes more the standard.

    Got my PC up and running. But optimizing games rn is a huge struggle w/ AMD. Only got Tekken and Left 4 Dead working. SF's super slow frame rate wise and DOA just shuts off after like 30 seconds.

    That's very weird, 5 should run on a potato. Try uninstalling the Intel Graphics driver as well and set the PC on the High performance power plan: Control panel->Power Options.

    I've been seeing this a bit more and it makes very little sense to me: Why do people think hitbox or controllers of that kind's considered cheating and should be banned? If it allows you to play the game solid, as would a pad or stick w/o altering the game or how to play the game, then idk why the complaints.

    It allows you perform commands that you couldn't be able to perform on controller pads or arcade sticks. They can allow for more "inputs" relatively at once over those two more traditional controller options.

    I'ma play devil's advocate for this situation only in regards to the hitbox itself. The cross up though should be banned. That's overkill to me. But in this case, I can argue that some people say some inputs on hitbox isn't the most comfortable to do, crouch dashing, full circle, 720's etc for example. Not saying Hitbox doesn't allow for easier execution. It does.

    But I think that's the point of the hitbox, without for example, Ryu's izuna drop turning into a 6t, 8t, and 2t input. The only other point I'd make is it was accessible (until covid). People I see do have the hitbox so there was opportunity to capitalize on it. With that said, I do think hitbox should be adjusted. But not banned. The crossup though is like having shoes with automatic jump over the rim springs.

    Ngl the more I've been playing Granblue, one aspect that's underrated to me is the soundtrack. Listen to Yggdrasil, Beelzebub, Ares, Avatar, Bahamut (2nd phase), Narmaya, etc's theme and trust me you can get FF, AoT, KH, Smash vibes. Granblue's tracks are mostly on the money.

    The music in GBVS is excellent. Beelzebub's theme is legit. The artists, composers for GBVS are related to FF if I'm not mistaken.
