    SFV players: Can't whiff punish in this game, it's too laggy

    SFV players after Daigo whiff punishes mediums with CA: Well, it's probably some sort block proximity option select and not really a reaction, any1 can input an option select so I don't see what the big deal is

    *sigh* why is collecting colors for costumes in modern fighting games have to be such a gacha pull? just let me unlock colors for characters I play dammit!

    Between MK11 and it's quad currency economy(which is earned slowly by playing and the rest you pick up from the krypt or just buying with real money), DBZF and having to literally gacha pull for everything from costume colors to avatars to announcer voices, Injustice 2 and it's randomness with gear acquisition, just why? WHY!?

    Lacking rapid step makes movement in DOA2 alot more annoying than I remember, unless your name is Kasumi, Ayane, or Bakotsubo and you can just 1p your problems away :/

    but having to switch between 2 inputs, AND having to sacrifice a button for improved movement (improvement that forces you to whiff b4 you can do it)? it's as annoying as it sounds

    @DestructionBomb Update: so I was messing around some more with more DOA2M, and it turns out you can rapid step with just the H button! you hold it down and mash backdash you can cancel backdash into backdash for some ez mode movement, but you gotta be careful if you do this with dreamcast settings since inputing 4H will cause you to do a hold

    this can be remedied if you play with arcade settings since all holds in arcade settings are advance inputs i/e 64, 67, etc, and I also found that by holding H and doubletaping a direction you can enter a restricted freewalk state, I say restricted because while you can walk into the foreground and background, you can't dash or run in this state, unlike regular freewalk, DOA2M movement is weird :/

    against all logic, sense, and reasoning I watched the "why motion inputs are bad design" clip that's been going around, and hoo boy..my brain hurts even trying to comprehend that guy :/

    The PvP on the other hand is debatable. Any general history of arena brawlers you've encountered, you'll probably also find it in Xeno 2 PvP. Sorta like "Eh, I know what to expect from arena brawler PvP" moment. If you have something in mind on what you'd expect, you'd probably end up right imo.

    Course really depends on what you are aiming for with those two games. Even I wouldn't be ashamed to admit that Xenoverse 2 isn't exactly the big wonders when it comes to depth for it's approach on a sort MMO type DBZ game. You could fight a giant dark Omega shenron, dodge laser beams where it may kill you, aim for weak spots etc. Nothing too big brainy complicated where it just feels barbaric (if that bothers you.)

    The combat looks great, graphics and character/beast models look good but the environment and the overall setting of the story, eh, iunno, FFXVI to me looks like a game that could truly regain players'/fans' trust in Square regarding new FF games by creating a masterpiece like in the old days or it might be a flop, worse than XV. We'll wait and see I guess.

    It would be cool to have a modern God of War with decent combat, but I dont think outside help would be the solution, I'd prefer if they'd just go back to ripping off devil may cry like they did with their earlier games instead of the bog standard over the shoulder nonsense they did in the last game

    So in the latest DBZF patch Arcsys claimed that they were going to buff characters that were underplayed according to online statistics, which is fine, but it has lead to some hilarious decisions in their latest update

    characters who are overused but undeniably low tier (Goku Black, Zamasu) received no buffs whatsoever and characters who are underplayed but undeniably top tier (Gotenks, Piccolo) got a slew of buffs they never needed! that's the risk of using online to decide who to buff/nerf but what can u do during these times

    I like DBZF as much as the next guy but the amount of mechanics and functions the game doesn't inform you about is criminal, it's not as piss poor as Tekken 7 but it is still pretty bad

    assits supers off normal/specials, sparking vanish cancels, aerial reverse gatling, etc, you'd think these would be in some advanced tutortial mode but nope, you either find this stuff on accident or you see it being done in matches and then hit training mode trying to recreate stuff you didn't even know was in the game

    I suspect it's a Namco thing. The company that's against in-game frame data. Though Project Soul tries to inform players of as many mechanics as they can in SCVI (compared to SCV which explained fairly little in comparison).

    for those of you who've played Sands of Time you know that in the final cutscene the prince does something kinda grimey, basically he forcibly kisses Farah ( a version of her who doesn't know him at all) and then rewinds time to be like "naw I never assaulted her", will they remake that in this current climate or will that lil' detail be quietly ejected, im curious

    and his command jump is projectile invincible! suddenly the lack of superdash doesn't seem too terrible, it doesn't track though so that could be a problem, but i guess we'll find out in a week

    His lvl 1 also snaps. Despite the changes they made to snaps for an old meta, I think the concept behind it in theory is actually pretty nuts lol.

    Yeah I saw that, looks cool but that lvl 1 might be a problem when you want to kill but you only have Roshi on the screen, unless you can DHC b4 the snap happens becuz there's no point in snapping an opponent who's near death, but we shall see when he drops

    kinda of 2 minds towards this upcoming NG trilogy, on one hand it's a convenient package for PS4 and Switch owners, on the other hand it's the 2 Sigma games and Razor's Edge :/

    turns out the remaster is based on the japanese version of SM64, which includes changes like Mario saying "Buh Bye" instead of "So Long King Bowser" (which is what he's actually saying for any who doesn't know) and a bunch of other small details

    Also I hear the good ol backwards long jump glitch is gone too. I remember it was super helpful for speed runners and overall fun to mess around with.
