    Because the game is stupid and makes guard breaks negative on block. A lot of people don't read frames and see guard break and think its advantage. DoA is ass backwards like that. With that said, its -2, so its still safe.

    Because online it may as well be + on block haha. Keep in mind that negative GB's in DOA are used to cover up a shit ton of recovery frames on moves. But yes, it's visually off-putting if you're not used to.

    your counter poking has to be on point to dissuade Diego players from mashing out of those minus frames, if not then that string might as well be plus, but that goes any move regardless of minus frames
    Bring back doa5's oki system, I'm tired of grapplers being the only people in the game to get real oki

    Hitting someone grounded does not necessary force them to get off the floor. A pseudo tech in this game doesn't mean they have to get up when they get hit. They can take the really weak otg and react to the next attack and strike with a wakeup kick. In doa5 stronger attacked properly force teched like helena's bko 2k.

    uh, no, if it's a proper pseudo force tech then it will force rising and using wake up attacks will be impossible, that's the point of pseudo force techs; to force restands and reduce their options to tech or no tech w/0 having to worry about WU kicks. i don't know what setups you're using but if reacting to ground hits with WU attacks is possible then that's not a pseudo force tech, that's just fake ground pressure

    do me a favor, post some of your psudo force tech setups cause i really curious what kind of setups you have that can wake up kicked out of

    ayane's 4p went under helena's 6p. Why are hitboxes so trash in this game?

    okay, so during those -5 moments i would not recommend counter poking with 6p, even with all that advantage it hits way to high to counter ayane 4p. helena's 4p is probably your best counter poke in that scenario because it is a mid that, unlike helena's 6p, hits VERY low to the ground, so no crushes for the ayane

    other than, you have 2k, which hits low and is confirmable into launch so that good, 8p and 9p both work despite being highs, but they are rising highs, which for some reason (and this was a thing in DOA5 as well) can clip squashed hitboxes in scenarios where even mids can't, those are the onyl notable ones i;ve come up, everything is just generic quick lows like 2p and 1p

    but keep in mind that online will futz with your timing, and helena is already a character starved for fast moves so even being off by a few frames can get her CH when she really shouldn't, so keep that in mind
    Mai and Kula cost 10.99 canadian. Okay, i never thought i'd have to spend more then 7 dollars on a character but okay.

    Negan, Geese & Noctis cost 10.99. However, someone like Julia cost 7.99. But yeah, Mai & Kula should of cost 7.99 CAD.

    On PS4 they're $10.99 because DLC on PS4 is a ripoff. They're $7.99 on XBone or around there.

    In a perfect world, everyone pays attention to a character's individual skills, but also the, "mind-game" skills. Helena is all mind game, so, would think as someone who knows how to use the character, that you know her weaknesses. That should also translate to her strengths. Not everyone is prepared to vs Helena. Think of it like, everyone needs the tools she doesn't have to deal with her tools. In theory.

    Zangief might be considered the worst character in SFV but nothing takes away that mental advantage you have for picking him. Some people just can't clear their mind to fight those high-level yomi characters. Now they're not a free win, far from it but there's a strength to being unorthodox and some compromises make that clear.

    I don't like the old fogey, but it's a new matchup to learn. So it'll be satisfying to deal with.
    I still want doa5 force techs back, this game has more then enough defensive options where that wouldn't be an issue
    Can they please give helena her force techs back? She feels so gimped in this game it isn't even funny

    Just play nico if you want force techs, or at the very least psudo force techs that are +5 even if they tech up

    There are still forced techs, you just need to hit the opponent twice. Check out Emann. While we're at it, can Christie get her 4T back :'(?
    Well, out of retirement for a bit. I'm gonna see if i can kill people's enjoyment of the game at locals with helena/christie and see how much money i can get lmfao
