    Which match was your favourite?

Unfortunately I came in late to top 8 like right at the ending of Steady and Sio’s match. Soooo gonna say my favorite was Bladez vs Kwiggs in DOA6 Kasumi vs Helena had me hyped haha

Haha, yeah. I could watch those 2 scrap all night. Excellent exhibition for those 2 characters in DOA6.
Guess I’ll take about 3 days off when DOA6 arrives as I won’t be able to concentrate on work while thinking of all the new possibilities @_@
Remember kids Helena’s sweep from BKO is not an online low so feel free to use it heavily in your mix up game :) -Emann

@Camel with 2 thumbs Depends on the connection. DOA doesn't really have "online lows" per se compared to, say, Tekken or SoulCalibur (I.e. Reactable lows that become unreactable online and can lead to big damage or advantage). The closest equivalent in DOA5LR would be normally reactable lows that stun or grant good advantage on NH.

    @Camel Zacks 6k2k, Brads 1k strings, Tomi’s 6k2k, Pai’s 2h+k, etc

In the old days, anything slower than a 18f would qualify as an online low potentially, depending on if the opponent had quick reflexes. These days, as console input lag has gotten much worse, that can range up to 21-22f before it really becomes reactable. Of course there are other factors such as animation coherence.
Used to play Lei, Lisa, Brad, Hitomi, Sarah, Pai, Mai, Nyo, Phase and Honoka. Seems only my Mai and Phase the only tourney worthy though hmm

@DestructionBomb Unfortunately I retired from Pai some time ago :( As for Nyo ima be honest...I at least need Rachel speed or faster lol

Maybe that character crisis is finally over...

@Lulu For the remainder of 5LR it will 4ever be Christie, Helena, Koko and Rachel simply because they are honestly the ONLY one’s I can deal with almost any situation such as Turtlers/Spacers, mashers, counter spammers, and more of a at-home feeling. Others just don’t click @_@

Patiently waiting for that special day when I look on social media and another trailer has been released and my character is there. <3
I just spectated some Tekken matches that lagged hard and was wondering how in the living hell did they still pull off those combos o_O

Haha! I'm sure the 1-bar online warriors would probably enjoy the ensuing madness!

The very thought of people actually going to that extreme just to play online under those conditions cause me to get conniptions.

@GreatDarkHero lmaooo I’m weak. You travel 4 states over just to fight a spiky match with teleporting characters LOL
Can’t tell if my subscribers on YT follow Tekken, DOA, or both at this point. Sometimes Tekken vids get more views sometimes DOA does lol

DOA for me (with the exception of Lucky Chloe stuff occasionally), though that may be the huge skew towards DOA content compared to Tekken content. Tekken 7's community is indeed pretty loaded. What surprises me is the regular flow of new players that take an interest in DOA5LR in 2018.

@Force_of_Nature thaaaat thing omg lol the last lucky i fought made me raaage . Also it’s great to hear more players are here for DOA. They better get that training in so we can see some crazy upsets in the future.

Haha! Lucky Chloe is the best <3. DAT damage output is no joke. Underrated character.
Training myself to slow my fighting style a bit...this is proving to actually be somewhat difficult. Game forces my mind into rush mode -.-

Kinda like MKX... All that chip damage and unreactable overheads force players into a slug fest.
Though I have much to learn in Tekken there’s something about when people ask me for advice and tips in it that just feels good ;’)

@Force_of_Nature there is helpful content online for DOA from Dead Or Alive’s main page, Manny’s channel, and quite a few others. O.o

Oh, I was saying comparatively. I.e. It's generally easier to find helpful Tekken content than DOA content on average. With that said I do appreciate the efforts from the DOA community in terms of providing helpful DOA content online. For instance Emperor Cow's video tutorial series for DOA5 vanilla is fantastic. I apologize if that came off wrong.

As a video editor, I recommend Windows Movie Maker. It has easy-to-understand editing tools to get you started on that field. Transitions and effects are limited, but for something as simple as match video compilations, it's a decent starting point. (cont.)

(cont.) If you need help with timing effects/transitions on cue with music, adding custom music, or the like, send me a PM. But for now, I'd recommend going to www.dafont.com to start downloading additional text styles for Movie Maker.

@KasumiLover69 That is EXACTLY what I do lolol Never really have the time to spare to add extra stuff.
People ask me to teach them Tekken. Problem is I still don’t even know what the hell is going on.

@Force_of_Nature who the hell do you be fighting? There's more to it then just that.

Most learn how to punish negative frame moves on block, kbd into a whiff punish, try to poke instead of risking being juggled after trying to launch their opponent. Don't be bias.

@Mama i think he's just speaking about a general number of players in that regard XD I myself don't play that way tho, I prefer to poke and wait for an opening and I prefer practical combos over fancy ones any day, most over the top combos you won't ever see in a real match so I prefer good damaging go to ones

    illninofan
I feel the exact same way. You're on your own. They were at least nice enough to give you sample combos. Otherwise, I'd be completely screwed. xD
I wonder if Tekken player’s react to strings or just random guess. Some of this crap seems a little too fast for the human eye too see.
    KasumiLover
    KasumiLover
I mean DOA has it too where some strings require a guess but also have risks tied to them xD plus Tekken has a strange button notation compared to DOA so it does look like gibberish

@KasumiLover69 I prefer risk by mashing LP, RP, or LK+RK in between there... lol...
And rolling my joystick until I bacome the attacker 1...

Tbh I just block and wait for an opening but as a Lili player sometimes I just say "Fuck it" and do her 12i 1+2, its like a go to interrupt xD
