  • Hi King, I wanted just say that indipendently from the outcome you made a great performance in the tournament with your Rig. I attended to all the tourney less the finals and I can sincerely say you that my most favourite match was surely your great set against Elena!

Like Corza already said the only shame is that I liked both the players and I didn't know who to hope for the victory xD

I would have even liked to see your match against Alucardo that wasn't streamed: from the outcome 3:2 seems that was another close set =)

Hey Kronin thanks for your compliments. I think I got 7th place so that's okay, I guess. The matches versus Alucardo were very close. I made a big comeback in the 4th set. It was fun, but I choked against Elena so I still feel pretty bad. :(
That was a really good set against Elena, didn't know who to cheer for. Should've picked the shrine maiden though!

Thanks! I did pick Momiji, just not on the stream. I choked big time though. :/
Why do 95% of all Phase 4 players mash if their Tenfu P gets blocked? Oh well, free counter hits for me.

Even if it's -7 from a distance, I still always neutral grab it online to be safe. Unfortunately, it works maybe 5% of the time. So I just started trying to catch them mashing, as well.

It's 1frame to grab it punish its the same as Hayate 6PK

Well apparently -8 or -7 on block means mash more buttons lol. But yeah, one of the worst habits I have online is trying to throw punishment stuff -_-.
Currently preparing for the EU Qualifier Tournament which takes place next Sunday. Hopefully my training will pay off.
Jacky Guide is now 75% complete.

Hmm, not sure what you are talking about. I haven't posted a guide for Jacky yet. I'm pretty sure the one you are talking about is the guide from Nereus.

YEP! I'm an idiot! LOL!! I literally assumed it was yours. haha! And seriously I can't wait for your guide. Jacky is such a rich character.

Well, the tips and tricks thread is actually mine but the Jacky guide is from Nereus. What I'm doing now is making an in-depth guide that goes over most of Jacky moves, his stances, throws, holds, combos, safety, whiff punishment, unholdables and more.
Just started writing the Jacky Guide. Top 10 moves down. Now on to his (Side) Slide Shuffle Breakdown. Man, this guide is going to be huge.

It's just amazing how guide after guide is being released. First off we have Renderingstar with a breakdown for Honoka, then a video guide for Kasumi by panicistylor and Renderingstar. Today we got the Eliot guide by Colver, and you and me are working on a Jann Lee and Jacky guide, respectively. :p

Oh by the way Darkslay, I'm really looking forward to your secret Jann Lee jutsu. :)

    Haha, JKD no jutsu lol.

There's also the tutorial streams for Honoka, Momiji, Rig and Ayane. Sly's Tips and Tricks videos, and the previous Kasumi guides. Its cool to see we're finally getting there. :)
Colver's Eliot Guide looks so nice and clean. It inspires me to make a guide for Jacky as well.

You're welcome. All your hard work deserves some recognition. It is written in a very clear manner and is very accessible for any aspiring Eliot player. ;)

Again, I have to express my sincerest thanks! I honestly felt it wasn't going to get much recognition in the process of making it. >_<

Of course you'll get everyone's respect and recognition. I feel that this forum especially could've used an Eliot guide since not many people use him and know his metagame.
I swear Nyotengu's Flying T must be guaranteed online. There's no way to stop it with a strike, even when you see it coming from miles away.

    It is annoying like that.
Don't have enough experience fighting her offline to say it carries over, but online they can just flap on over being as conspicuously obvious as possible and face no effective retribution.

Yeah @Yurlungur has gotten me with it countless times no matter how hard I hit P
Time sure flies when you're having fun. Today is the day that I am a member of FreeStepDodge for one year! ^ ~ ^
I still have a long way to go, but I’m already so far from where I used to be. And I’m proud of that.

Hahaha. Some of the quotes I find there are really amazing and motivating though and apply to fighting gamers too.
Lol at in-game DOA tutorial lesson 26.1! Complete this lesson and you'll become a button masher in no time.

I completed all of them but hardly bothered to read any of the prompts (just collecting titles).

It's not necessarily the prompt, but the lesson itself. With Hitomi you have to do 6P+K, which gets blocked. Afterwards you'll have to do a jab while you are -8 disadvantage.

Oh. Well, there are better things to do there surely, but that will pop someone who tries to get greedy with their punish (i12s and whatnot).
    Me (online): Yes!! I've landed a throw which gave me frame advantage. Lag spike: Hi. :). Me: Goodbye frame advantage. ;_;
