Yeah, at this point I would only be interested in an Anthology release. Fighting games are niche products and that just does not fly with investors now-a-days. A DOA 7 or Reboot would be a disaster under the current stewardship of KoieTecmo.
I'd like a new DOA. I'd like to see the next chapter in the story. Also, considering I started playing after updates for DOA6 were already stopped, I think it would be cool to experience being part of the fanbase while a game is actively supported. Almost every video game franchise I've actually been interested in engaging with has been eclipsed in recent years.
A bit mixed on my end. While I'd like to see a new game, it also depends on the consistency behind it. If it ends up in a rough state then it's probably best to probably let the series end in a good note instead of being controversial "every" new installment.
Kinda wished it stopped at DOA5LR where it would of least ended on a good note and the player base isn't scattered everywhere.
I'm conflicted. I would admit that Tekken won't be strong enough to maintain the foothold it once had, since the sales aren't exactly great for Tekken 8, and DOA is better-recieved in Japan than anywhere else in general. So, I wouldn't shit myself if a game wasn't announced, but not hyped for another one. That honor would go to Bloody Roar, cuz Konami's stuck in the basement.
The only times I would want a new DOA game is if KT give the fighting game the same treatment as DOAX as of recent from being only available in JPN/Asia, offers very revealing outfit (like Rachel's Fiend Costume), and still provide fanservice features (like clothing distruction, touching mechanics, panties etc.).
A new Doa game with the same practices would land us back in the same situation as 6, It would be good for it to end because now that shimbori left which alot of doa fans didn't care until he went to tekken. Doa7 would be more microtransaction then it ever did just for them to fund more single player samurai souls with the money.
I just want a completely new IP with new characters and story but same gameplay like DOA5 and older at this point. I deleted DOA6 off my PC and PS4 to make more space for other games...something I thought I would never do
