    Win or lose, when I play against someone and I/we both get lagged a lot, I will decline because a rematch likely wont be a fun experience for either player.

    Lol I use to feel this way until I remembered that online ranked has always been a FT1. Like @KING JAIMY mentioned, there's various reasons, even believing the one I mentioned. Lag(Of any nature or you feel it might at key points), maybe you played enough of one particular match-up(Or don't know it enough and rather lab it). Feel the opponent has your number or will. Tactics that aren't beneficial to your improvement

    Sometimes I don't want to play again or ,"prove" I can beat anyone if it's just a slugfest that isn't stimulating my mind. Ranked is not a contract you obey nor is fighting anyone. I got the hands and feet offline if someone is upset about that but I digress. Focus on what you know you can accomplish. You never truly lose if you find benefit.

    Tekken has the most spammers, while Soul Calibur has the most rage quiters, and that makes the people mash buttons.

    Yea I have zero offline exp. with this game, unless it's single player, hahah. But I know how frames work, and with the latency online, even when you're at plus frames you can get beat out by someone mashing vs your timed attack, since online you have to do your inputs a lot earlier. Like in VF, offline you could escape a throw mid throw. Online you gotta escape it before you get thrown. Dat input latency.

    And that's why mashers have decent success online and their reaction to getting hit is to instantly start PPP'ng at you. It's hard to punish them when they attack at disadvantage, so there's no fear of doing it/no incentive for em to block. Cause they hit the buttons faster, lol.

    New ranked rule: anyone that cancels a 4 or 5 bar match loses 10k points.

    The opposing player's connection and region should be the only things visible when a match is found. Or they should just remove the ability to reject matches (while still allowing players to filter by connection/region). This would resolve the issue of players canceling (abusing) matches in rank completely.

    You shouldn't be allowed to cancel 5-bar matches regardless of Rank. 4 bar matches can still be dodgy though.
