Have you ever wondered why the pros play the way they do? Why they do some moves more frequently and save other moves for special occasions? Well, the answer is that it's all in the frames! Frames, the sequence of pictures that make up the visuals on your TV screen are the driving force of competitive fighting games. This mathematical mechanic ensures that certain scenarios are consistent and will always happen every time. For this reason, good fighting game players study frames and test it out in practice mode. I urge you to do the same. Watch this video and learn what frame data is all about. Hopefully it will make you appreciate fighting games more and make you a better player in the long run.
