6P's follow ups actually isn't something to neglect on block because they are follow ups with good delay. Opting for just a 6P on block means you're getting thrown for free by anyone reading free cancels.
You don't need reaction time, you just need to expect it. Every Momiji I've ever played only knows to run at you and do shit like this, or do a sweep. So it's a simple of matter of confirming did they do a sweep or not - if not, sidestep
Just an FYI, 6PK into throw as Momiji is not advantageous at all, she's -14. And 6P is -12, you can side step any part of the 6P string on block.
@ColonelColver Momiji cannot block your side step strike if you side step the 6PK. I spoke a bit about it in my Momiji tutorial around the 11:20 mark; http://www.freestepdodge.com/media/doa5-last-round-momiji-tutorial-w-hajinshinobi.8987/
Ah, you're right, my brain didn't register that part lol. Good catch, Jaimy. Still, though, the reaction time can be a problem for some. Aslo she can hold right after 6PK, guessing which SS attack you're gonna do and catch you. She cam also block and punish if your SS attack is unsafe. Still, it's a very good, very viable strategy.
@ColonelColver - You're right. You need a very good reaction time to react to the 6PK By the way, wouldn't a sidestep strike (SS P or SS K) beat out Momiji's 6PK into Throw, like is shown at 0:14 - 0:15 in the video?
The entire string is indeed linear. And this is great but what people need to realize is that you need to have good reaction for this to work. And then there are the Momiji players that do 6PK into a grab, that creates a whole new problem in itself.
