Here are some more translations. She seems to have named techniques again, mostly based around poetic imagery regarding water, which makes sense as she's from a beach game.

Tamaki's Battle Style:

Here begins the explanation of Tamaki as a fighting game character. Her characteristics are those of a master of Aikido, who skillfully uses their opponents force. Thus, she has a number of expert holds and offensives holds, and sabakis among her strikes.
While she is overall simple and can be used by beginners, the aforementioned sabakis and holds give her depth. As her reach is limited, move in and engage in close combat.

Recommended move: Iriminage, or Entering Throw

This is the move that defines Tamaki: the move from Aikido, Iriminage. It is an upper offensive hold that can be used on its own or from a number of her strikes. All of her iriminages can be used on airborne opponents. Here it will be called 'Heaven and Earth Throw' and 'Wind, Flowers, Snow Moon" (My note: this is a Chinese phrase about the beauties of nature).

Recommended move: open palm into iriminage (6P6T)

Starting from a simple mid-punch it goes into iriminage. Even if the 6P is guarded, it will still grab an opponent keeping the guard up. An opponent would want to counterattack after guarding 6P, but other moves from 6P include 'open palm / water and moon' (6PP) and 'open palm / mid roundhouse kick' (6PK). Those work on opponents striking at her throw. Using the mixup into throw or strike is important.

Recommended move: two strike lower roundhouse'

A move that draws a low kick from a one-two punch (PP2K). It can easily bring down an opponent's guard. Also, following her PP can be 'two strike / lower jaw / passing shower' (PPPP), or middle kick 'two strike / whirlpool' (PPK) use these against opponents crouching after the one two punch.

I won't do the rest right now, but things she has include 'surf', which is her 2HK which is a low kick and her biggest reach attack, her 4K makes her opponent back turned, her 46P sabakis both mid and high punches, as can her backturned p+k. She has a running throw like Kula, and expert holds for all three heights of punch. Also, her expert holds can be held and elongated. These expert holds also backturn opponents.

TN right after apologising: "Here's Tamaki, Tamaki likes boobs you like boobs too don't you? Oh wow she's really naughty and sexy right? Please buy Tamaki! hair thing what hair thing look it's Tamaki look!!!"

Seriously Aikido is a fighting style I wanted in DOA for a while especially as an Asuka/Jun Kazama fan but.... Nope I can't bring myself to fall for this obvious ploy to get us to buy her as a distraction. Fuck you KT.

Do you like boobs as much as Tamaki? lol.

I appreciate that she's a fully conceived character, but the whole thing is spoiled by their greed. Their loss.

It seems she has access to mid string OHs in case for abare shenanigans from opposing players. In portions, that's actually pretty good, though people may be able to fuzzy into a 2P/2K to cover both options, but players may get away with that from the general populace of players who don't even fuzzy nor heavy back stepping, who knows. Will have to see footage of the character in action by at least Mochi-A or american players at events.

It looks like she has a Eliot sort-of pseudo heavy low 2H+K and a bit slower, though unsure if she has follow ups for it. If she did the move would be pretty nuts actually, especially on water. At 2:13, that's not a real input is it? 69PPP? do they mean 6[9]PPP? followed by 6236P it seems. That's a DP motion.

46P has 5 active frames, that's a good window to parry highs.

I will say that I am more impressed that there is a video of trying to explain certain moves early on in the video and move bufferings. Not many fighting games would do that, and especially not DOA over the recent years of promoting new characters entries.

I don't want to say she's just more trash that they're pushing on us... I mean even though she's a VV character they put thought into implementing her.

But they should have seriously considered delaying her reveal/release at least until after they dealt with the biggest problem in front of them, which they've already aknowledged is there. Like this, they've only allowed what could have otherwise been a great reveal become tarnished.

I was thinking the same thing but held back typing it out because I was sure someone would point at her reveal video amounting to nothing but an ass close-up.

She's 100% a character I'd fucking love playing, Aikido master that is primarily defensive? Fuck yes! But I can't arggghhh I'm so disappointed in this game right now.

I love her style, from what I've read on Famitsu basically she has an Offensive hold(s) and in string ones and she also has expert holds that she can apparently extend that leaves her opponent backturned and she also has 46P that seems to have sabaki properties to parry and crumple if she's successful. She also seems to be close combat oriented and she's a 10i striker too which is a first since Diego xD

KT making ways to snatch people up and enforcing people to forget for their recent dilemma lol.

Give it a month and it'll die down like most of every character though, not sure what's the issue.

I actually think Tamaki looks interesting. I'd buy her if it wasn't for the bad aftertaste it'll leave in my mouth. For KT adding rather a VV character instead of veterans or a completely new character and for that whole hair renting scheme. I don't want to support KT with their direction of the DOA series. :/

Aikido is well fitting for her imo. A defensive, more indirect and dignified fighting style.

Good to see that they are apologizing for the hair thing, The thing is though they have to actually learn from this, and do better to not repeat things like this again. An apology doesn't mean anything if they just attempt to do something like this again in the future once this controversy dies down.

As for Tamaki though she actually looks super cool, I love her default outfits even though some ( I think her default outfit is entirely new? ) are from VV. And her fighting style looks cool.

So...here's a little breakdown of Tamaki, aka the "Light Aoi Umenokouji":
Looks like she has an i10 jab
Tick throw offensive holds from strings (6P) as shown in the video
Mid punch Sabaki leading to crumple stun as shown in trailer.
Has a SDS, which is always a plus.
Has Bayman's commander roll offensive hold.
Flashy airgrab

Other possibilities (maybe?):
- She might have Aoi's Tenchi'in you stance at neutral

For those who want a closer look at Aoi's moveset and do comparisons

I'm interested to see how she'll play as but I'll wait to see how they will try to "mitigate" the hair colour issue first. I really suspect they are trying to use Tamaki's release people distracted from that.

Nothing short of them rolling back on the paid hair colour change AND releasing the next revival costumes for free is going to convince me they actually took our issues seriously.

Well, Tamaki is certainly interesting. But she looks like a slutty/cheap version of Aoi from Virtua Fighter. I dig her first costume and variants though.

Finally a new character that doesn't do weird magic shit and use an (in my opinion) interesting and grounded fighting style. Apparently, she uses Aikido with throws and offensive holds in her combos which is pretty cool! I also appreciate that her main costume is not the swimsuit and it actually looks fantastic. She's definitely the most interesting of the new fighters to me.

I really would like to come back to DoA and try her out but like others have said, Tecmo has unfortunately been ruining all the fun with their horrible practices and I'm not convinced by their semi apology.
